Lillian rolled over and was snoring softly.
(strolls in wearing a magenta coat What did I miss?)
Darren put the food down on his desk and walked over to his closet. He found what he was looking for, his blue beanie. He slid it onto his head and walked over my Lillian kissing her on the forehead, "Are you hungry?" He whispered to her.

(Not much! Darren has brain cancer and had to shave his hair off in preparation for a surgery that he just had.) (Nice Hamilton reference though!)
Lillian shivered in her sleep. One of eyes slowly opened, "Wha'd ya say?"
Darren smiled hoping the beanie on his head wouldn't throw her off, "I asked if you were hungry, because I hear breakfast in bed is a ton of fun!"
Lillian looked confused, "Why'd ya make me breakfast in bed?"
"Because I was bored and because I love you," He smiled at her brightly gesturing to the food at his desk.
Lillian sat up and smiled back, "You didn't have too. But thanks anyway."
Darren brought the food to her, "I hope eggs and toast are okay." He said taking a seat on the other side of her.
Lillian smiled, "They're great."
She took a bite.
He smiled, "I'm glad." Darren slid his hand under his leg so Lillian wouldn't notice the twitching.
Lillian looked at his beanie, "Was the stitches really bad?"
Darren sighed, "They're ugly." he readjusted his hat.
Lillian nodded as she finished up the breakfast, "Oh."
"Do you want to see them?" He looked over at her.
Lillian hesitated before saying, "If it's alright with you."
Darren nodded and took the hat off slowly so Lillian could see.
Lillian saw the stitches all she could say was, "Wow. They do look bad."
Darren sighed and put the hat back on his head. "What are we going to do with our day?" He said moving closer to Lillian.
Lillian took a deep breath. She remembered what day it was and groaned, "I have school."
"Are you gonna go?" He said resting his head on her shoulder.
Lillian looked at him, "I really should, buut it wouldn't be the first time I skipped for a worthy cause."
Darren kissed her cheek, "You don't have to skip for me,"
Lillian smiled, “I’ll do whatever the hell I want for you.”
Darren laughed and kissed her lips, "Remind me not to get on your bad side."
Lillian kissed him back, “I will. I have a trombone for those who do.”
"So are you going then or…?"
“No,” Lillian said as she wrapped her arms around Darren, “I’m not going.”
