"No problem." The doctor said with a smile before leaving the room.

Lillian looked back to Darren. She knew it was going to be a long night.
Minutes turned into hours and eventually, Darren’s grip around Lillian’s hand grew tighter. He turned his head slowly and peered at her through squinted eyes.
Lillian let out a happy cry as she felt pressure on her hand. She smiled, "Welcome to the world of the waking sleepy head. Miss nurse he's awake!"
Darren smiled at Lillian but said nothing. A nurse came in to check his reflexes and shine a light in his eyes again. She said he was okay and that she'd get the paperwork saying when he can leave. With that, she left.
Lillian looked at him, "How are you feeling?"
"Fine." Darren said as he raised a hand to touch his gauze.
"D-do you remember me?" Lillian asked the question with a quiet shaky voice. She didn't want to just assume he knew who she was.
Darren hesitated for a moment before smiling, "Of course I know who you are."
Lillian let out a sigh of relief, "C-can you say my name? Just so I know for sure."
Darren's smile faded, "You-ummm- You're Lillian." He smiled proudly.
Lillian smiled, "Yeah I'm Lillian. What else do you remember?"
"About you?" He looked at her questioningly.
Lillian shrugged, "Whatever you want."
"I remember I love you. I remember I have a very important football game to be at. I also remember the musical, we're doing my favorite, 'West Side Story' and you and me have the lead parts." He smiled.
Lillian smiled back, "Yeah. And I love you too. I'll stay by your side."
He smiled and the nurse came back into the room. "You are free to go tonight,"
"Really?" Darren looked amazed. "As the paper reads Mr. Anderson you may go."
Lillian smiled, "Well let's go. I'll drive you home."
Darren got up slowly, he was incredibly unsteady and it took him forever to even get to the door of the hospital room.
Lillian took his arm and lifted it over his shoulders to help steady him, "We'll take it slow and steady okay?"
"Yeah," Darren kept his focus on his feet so he wouldn't miss place them and fall. They eventually got to the car and Darren got in suddenly exhausted from the trip there.
Lillian got into the drivers seat. It had been awhile since she had driven a car. She helped him into the car, "You doing okay babe?"
Darren nodded, "Yeah… Let's just go home."
Lillian started the car and begin driving home. She tried not to let the nerves get to her, and glanced over at Darren every minute or so.
Darren stared out the window, he almost looked sad. They pulled up to the house and he got out by himself almost falling over, he walked slowly towards the door.
Lillian quickly got out to help Darren.
Darren jerked his arm away when Lillian tried to help him, "I can do it." He said continuing to walk like a drunk man.
Lillian nodded and stepped back. She kept a close eye on him, "Okay."
Darren made it to the door and looked at the stairs inside, he didn't think about the fact that if he went upstairs he would more than likely fall down them, he just walked toward them with full intentions of going to his room.
Lillian followed him into his house. She bit her lip wanting to say something, but voted against it.
