He nodded, once again standing up and holding out his hand for Vien to take.
"That's a good idea Floyd, and I believe I said I would take a certain someone to the library…" He said, smiling down at the boy.
He nodded, once again standing up and holding out his hand for Vien to take.
"That's a good idea Floyd, and I believe I said I would take a certain someone to the library…" He said, smiling down at the boy.
A small smile returned to Vien's face at the mention of the library. "T-That'd be nice," he stammered, forcing his leg to stop twitching for a moment so he could pull himself up off the ground
Ace held out his hand for Vien to take.
"So, what do you two want for breakfast?" He asked, leading them out of the room and into the long and beautifully decorated hallway.
Vien took Ace’s hand gingerly. “Um…W-Whatever the cooks make,” he answered quietly. He had never had much choice in what he ate, especially not after his family had died. Though he found himself secretly hoping the cooks knew how to make omelets
( Y O U KNOW A C E I S N ' T G O N N A T A K E T H A T A N S W E R)
"Well, we can have them make Pancakes,Waffles, Cottage fries," he shrugged, "Name it and I will have them make it bud."
(Lol)
“Um…” Vien fiddled with the hem of his shirt, trying to convince himself to just aske for food. “D-Do you have…omelets?” he asked quietly
The blonde nodded in agreement.
"Great choice!" He exclaimed, bringing them into a large dining room, and leading them across the wood floors to the long table that sat in the middle. Ace pulled out a chair for Vien to sit in, and another for Floyd, before sitting down himself after asking the chefs to make an omelet for each of them.
"Thank you, M-Mr. Ace," Vien said quietly, sitting down and fixing his gaze on the tablecloth. He fumbled with the hem of his shirt absently, eyes flicking across the various small scars that dotted his arms
Floyd’s lips were pulled into a tight smile, though he was obviously distracted. His mind wouldn’t stop racing on and on about the people who had hurt Vien. Maybe they knew who could hurt and killed his sister. The funeral wasn’t for another day or so, and he wanted a second look at the body. Maybe there were signs of a struggle, some hints that it wasn’t a suicide. He bit at the inside of his cheek and reached over to Ace, giving his hand a squeeze as he tried to ground himself to the present.
Ace smiled at Vien, although he turned to look down at his hand that was now in Floyd's. He squeezed his hand again, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek, hoping he would feel a little better.
Vien sat there awkwardly, his gaze still fixed on his hands as he didn't know what to do with himself. He knew he probably should have tried to leave already, but he couldn't now that he was stuck at the table
Ace jumped a bit when the silence was disturbed by a tall, skinny woman with black hair. In her hands, she carried a large silver tray, ontop where the three omelets. She placed them down in front of them, and nodded when Ace thanked her.
"So, Vien, I think I have a book that you might like." he said as he started to cut the food into smaller bits, "I remembered last night that I have a book about Mythology, mostly about Greek and Norse." He said, taking a bite.
"N-Norse?" Vien asked, poking at his omelet for a moment. He hadn't planned on eating at first, but now that there was food in front of him he was starving. He cut into the omelet, smiling softly to himself as he realized it was full of onions and bacon and cheese. Just like James used to make
Ace nodded, his eyebrows raised a bit as he swallowed his food.
“Yeah, like Odin, Thor, Loki, Tyr..?”
Vien nodded, smiling widely. "Norse is my f-favorite type of mythology," he said, a small grin spreading across his face as he went back to eating
Ace chuckled, watching as the boy enjoyed his food.
“It’s my favorite as well.” He said, taking a sip of water-that magically appeared because fuck you- and setting the glass down.
“I think we will like having you here.” He said, winking at the boy.
Vien froze slightly, though he played it off as he ate more of his omelet. He hadn't planned on staying, had actually planned on running as soon as he had the chance. He chose not to speak, reaching for a pot of coffee across the table
Ace sat and waited for everybody to finish, excited about spending more time with Vien.

Floyd hadn’t felt like eating. He was more distracted by the thoughts constantly running through his brain- about Vien, about the murder. He leaned forward against his elbows that were rested on his knees, looking between the pair. “So, King Ace, what else should we show Vien?”
Ace turned to look at Floyd, tilting head in confusion at being called 'King Ace', especially by him.
"W-well I did promise him we would go to the library, maybe we can go out and play soccer or something.." He said, shifting a bit in his seat.
Vien tilted his head at the mention of soccer. He used to play it with his siblings all the time. “S-Soccer after the library sounds nice,” he mumbled sheepishly
The young king smiled, turning so he was now facing Vien.
"I love soccer, I remember whenever Floyd and i would go out so he could go shopping, I would always run off and play soccer with the kids!" He said, remembering the day he lost his father.
"I wasn't half bad, if I do say so myself." He bragged, wiggling his eyebrows jokingly.
"I used to play it with my s-siblings. It was one of the only things I could do with them f-for a long time," Vien mumbled sheepishly, fiddling with the hem of his sweater absently as he spoke
"I bet you where good." He said, elbowing Floyd in the side, "Don't you think?"
Ace attempted to get Floyd back into the conversation, sensing how distracted he was.
