(I WATCHED SEASON SEVEN OF VOLTRON AND LET ME SAY

I am emotional and extremely upset with it and although a lot of parts of it were great it is my least favorite season by a long shot

They did a lot of stuff I'm not really okay with and there's a lot I would change about the season if I was able to)

"Yet another one." Dwayne sighed, scooting forward, but not looking in Thatcher's direction.

(Cool, I hope you have fun.)

"What happened to you?" William asked, stepping forward. "After the gas- you weren't in the lab with us. I- we thought you were dead? How are you here?"

Thatcher stilled. He turned to William, a blank look on his face. "I woke up in a lab, like you did." He said, the emptiness from his expression bleeding into his voice. "It must have been a different one."

Charlie was trembling, but she managed to ask, “Why are you… here?”

Thatcher turned to her, showing no signs of recognition. “I was sent here.”

William stilled. "Sent here? What do you mean by that?"

Thatcher answered without hesitation. "It's what they said to me. They said they were sending me down here."

Charlie backed away. “And you listened to them?”

Thatcher looked confused. “Of course. Cooperation will be rewarded.”

"Co-" William gave him a confused look. "Cooperation? Did the scientists tell you that?"

Thatcher blinked. "It's what they told me." He said. He looked around for a moment. "Where do you plan to go from here?"

Charlie shook her head. “We don’t… we don’t know.”

“You don’t know?” Thatcher said curiously. “They told me you would have formed a plan by now.”

"I made a plan!" Dwyane put in quickly, crawling over to slop and looking down at Thatcher, "But they said dying wasn't the best option."

Thatcher's gaze seemed, for lack of better word, empty. "No," He said simply, "it isn't. Shouldn't you be trying to escape?"

"We are. I was thinking we should go further into the cave," William said.

Something sparked in Thatcher's eye. "Yes, that sounds like a good idea. A very good one, in fact."

“Is he… why does he look… happy?” Charlie said quietly.

William shuffled a bit closer to Charlie. "Why does it seem like a good one, exactly?"

Thatcher's eyes didn't dull. "Well," he said, as if mulling over his words, "if we go back the way you came we'll just be back in the labs. Further is our only option."

"And the further to death." Dwayne smirked, gazing at the black void.

William shuddered. "I wish you wouldn't say things like that. We don't know that we're going to die."
