Sage knew he was grinning like a fool. But he didn't care. Not one inch. "Yeah. Sorry, but… worst place ever." He placed one of his arms between the bars of the cell and searched for Ari's hand.

"Welp, surprise, the most socially awkward, clumsy, average-looking guy in the world likes you!" Sage announced, like he was handing out a prize.
He paused for a second, then said, softer, "I-I'm sorry, but it could take me a while to get my head around this. I…We…It's really… weird. To have someone actually… really like me… It's not something I… I don't really… It's not something I'm exactly used to…"
"Wow that sounded like a pity party. It wasn't, I promise."
