“Darn it,” Victoria said cheerfully, yanking it out of her hair.

Lars gasped and yanked the wheel to the left. An asteroid shot past. "Where did that come from?"

“Nowhere?” Victoria supplied.

"Helpful." He grumbled. Another flew past at an alarming rate.

"Aaaaand there's the belt. Prepare for a bumpy ride!"

“Prepared.”

Lars jerked the ship down in a nose dive, then up suddenly. "Whoa dizzy." He shook his head.

“For you,” Victoria laughed.

Lars stuck his tongue out at her, then did a barrel roll. "Are we almost through?"

“Bout three minutes out,” Victoria said, typing furiously on a keyboard.

Another asteroid soared past. "Good cus we've almost gotten hit a couple ti-" There was a loud crunch. "Speaking of which."

“Dam it,” Victoria cursed. “I’ll go check it out.”

"Neku take her place."

Neku sat down in the co-pilot seat.

“Nobody can take my place!” Victoria called cheerfully as she descended the stairs to the hold.

Lars cringed as a smaller asteroid dinged the windshield. "Please don't crack, please don't crack…."

Neku groaned. "We're going to die!"

"Not yet!" Lars stated. "What's the damage Vic?"

“Not as severe as initial scan suggested!”

"Good!" The gash in the windshield had slowly grown into a crack. "Oh, bad."

“Bad where?” Victoria asked, concerned.

"A smaller one hit the windshield. There's a crack." Lars replied. "Luckily we're almost out of this…"

“Fixed it!” Victoria yelled triumphantly.

"Excellent!" Lars cheered. They shot out of the asteroid belt. Lars sighed and slumped forward in his chair.

“Lars! You okay?” Victoria asked.

"Yeah…..that was intense." He chuckled. "Good job with the repairs."

"More like stressful and anxiety inducing." Neku muttered, rubbing his forehead.

"That it was. Did I destroy your nerves Ku?"

"Almost." He muttered, slouching down in the chair.

"Well try and prepare them for more stress. We're nearing New Gaia." Lars said.
