"You allowed me to kill the bird by throwing away good food. You should be thankful for what you got! I never had food like that growing up!"

Lucas's heart pounded. "Well, maybe I thought they were sweet. They do have honey on them."

"Well you're welcome to have mine! I don't want it!"

"I.. Don't… Like… Waffles!" He hissed throwing it at Lucas's feet. "Stop breaking the law by littering!"

"It's not littering if the birds eat it! Food's okay to throw out, just not paper and stuff."

"But you threw this on someone's roof when you casted it out the window."

Thatcher took a step forward and stared down at the smol child, "And what do you think the owner thinks about you throwing food on their house?" Then someone knocked on the door.

Lucas's ears pricked up, and he went to open the door.

“They still tasted salty.” Aaliyah said, “I would know because I actually ate mine.”

"Whatever." Lucas sat down on the bed, not making eye contact with Aaliyah. "Why do you care that I don't want to eat? It doesn't affect you."

Aaliyah raised an eyebrow, “It does.”

Thatcher stood frozen, staring at the door that just made a knocking sound. He wanted to leap out the window and run by his legs would not move. It knocked again and this time the door swung open and the misters walked in, "Thatcher Wren? What are you doing here?"

"How?" Lucas looked up at the mistress, not fully processing the problem.

"Mam," Thatcher said bowing his head, "I-I'm doing no harm."

"Trespassing and harassing my kids? You're getting worse." Her black striped tail swung impatiently, "I gave you a chance last time, but not this time." Placing her ringed hand in her pocket she clicked sometime… Something that would alert someone else.

“Because if you slowly starve yourself to death, I would be sad. And if you have an eating problem, I would also be sad. Or if you’re sad, I would also be sad.”

"I… I-I don't have an eating problem! I'm f-fine!" Something in Lucas's eyes clicked. "Er, ma'am. M-Mistress, you… y-you really don't have to do that…"

"Lucas come here," She growled, "Aaliyah you too, I don't want you near this man."
Shaking his head, Thatcher glanced down at his 'son' and 'daughter', 'I'm sorry,' he mouthed, then he darted out the window.

"Thatcher!" Lucas watched as Thatcher jumped out the window, shocked. I hope he hasn't hurt himself…

Scaling down the walls he made it the first roof and parkoured to the other side of the street. Looking back he could see his smol sons ears pop out through the window. Shaking his head, he raced from roof to roof, but slowly the cry's of police sirens where drawing nearer.

"No! No, no, no, no…. he can't be arrested! Thatcher!"

Aaliyah quietly whimpered, this isn’t good.

"Lucas." Sighed the misters, "He was given a chance on his first break in, but not his time. He must obey the law."

"Mistress! Please! H-He hasn't done anything wrong!" Lucas seemed on the verge of tears.

"He broke in," She glanced down at the dead bird, "Gross."

Lucas shied away from the bird. Even though it wasn't human, the fact that it was dead still scared him.
