Rory glanced at the clock. "Welp, forget about cereal I gotta scoot."

"Later. Have fun," Max smiles knowingly.

Rory rolled his eyes and heelied out. (yep he's that cool)

Max scoffs, pretending to not care about Rory's cool ass heelies but mentally makes a note to get himself a pair.

(Cool, I assume that's like, 3 o'clock)
Max lounges on his bed, his laptop on his lap.

(Yiss)
Rory shuffled in. "Hey bro."

"Hey dude, how'd the date go?" Max looks up from his laptop.

((Lol don't mind my cringy after time skip post))
Lillian was chilling in her and Kaida's shared room, curled in the corner with a book. Harry Potter, to be exact. She was rereading it for the sixth time.

"Oh, we broke up." Rory stated.

"Ah, that sucks. Are you alright?" Max asks.

"Yeah it was mutual."

Max nods. He was never good at comforting people and he still isn't, so in an attempt to be a good friend he asks, "Do you want to egg his house?"

"What? No! Why would I do that?"

Using her canine hearing, Lillian picked up Rory and Max's conversation. After hearing Rory say they broke up, she got up and walked down the hallway, at least to be a comforting presence, if nothing else.

"I want to do that, in general. Can we egg somebody's house today?"

"No." He sighed. "Look, I am a little down. So if you could, shut up maybe, that would be great."

"Sorry, do you want the room to yourself? I can go," Max says, regretting saying anything at all.

"Naw, you're fine. Just stop talking about egging houses."

"Sure, I can do that," Max looks back at his laptop. He wants to continue the conversation but he also knows that Rory isn't in the mood, and even if he was the only thing on Max's mind has to do with eggs and houses.

Lillian knocked on the door of the guys room and slowly pushed open the door, to make them aware she was there. She took a small step inside. "Hey, I heard you broke up. I'm really sorry," she quietly said and looked at Rory.

"Yeah well." He shrugged. "He's still questioning and I asked if he wanted space and he said yeah so…"

Max looks at the others, nodding when it seems appropriate.

Lillian lightly patted Rorys arm, unsure of how to otherwise respond.

Rory sighed and stood up. "Welp, no use dwelling on it!"

"Yeah, you're right with that." She took a step back, and wagged her tail slightly, trying to lighten the mood that had been cast over them a little.
