Adrik smirked, winking at Alex.
"I look great when I am in my 'bad boy' persona, and, the guests LOVE it just as much as my 'Prince' role."
He gave Alex a smile.
"You'd be a cinnamon roll host because you are ADORABLE!" He squealed, pinching his cheeks and then returning to Grey's side.
Alex rubbed his cheeks. He had just decided today wasn't real and that it was all a dream, then he got pinched. Nope this was real life.
"Now," he announced, pointing to the twins, "FIND ME A GUEST!"
Alex rubbed at his forehead. This day couldn't get any worse, could it?
(bumping and I'm also back to feeling like death again during summer of all times. ugh)
“Sure thing, Boss!” Jaxen said, gesturing for Caleb to come with him.
Adrik nodded, turning to Grey.
"Grey my, best friend, my pal, my buddy, my sister from another mister, my sib from another crib, my platonic soulmate, GET US SOME TEA/COFFEE!" he exclaimed, crossing his arms over his chest, staring down Alex.
(i'm dying of laughter send help lol)
"Of course, my brother from another mother. What kind would you like?" Grey winked lightly as she tucked her hands behind her back like a butler.
Caleb bit back a laugh and grabbed Jaxen's hand, allowing himself to be pulled down to the gardens where all the guests were.
“Which guest do you think is suitable for our host-to-be?” Jaxen asked, looking around the garden.
"I think, he's more of an Earl-Grey kinda host." He said, smirking.
"That's a tea isn't it," Alex thought for a second, "Yeah it's a tea."
"Alright then. I shall return." She spun lightly on her heels and made her way to the kinda-kitchen room with contained a stove and various kitchen equipment, like a kettle and earl grey tea leaves. She prepared the kettle and she leaned against the wall, waiting.
Adrik watched as Grey walked out, and he turned to look at Alex, quickly running his hands through the other boy's hair, attempting to fix it up so he would make a good first impression for the guest.
"There." He said, nodding to himself, his arms now crossed across his chest.
Alex looked up to Adrik, "D-do you think I'll do okay?"
"Of course you will!" he said, giving Alex a thumbs up, "Just be your adorable self and you'll be fine!"
He rocked back and forth on his feet as he waited for the others to get back.
"You will be okay to try this out on a boy if they bring a male back right?" He asked, wanting to make sure he was comfortable.
Alex nodded, "Yeah. Um, gender's never been a real big problem for me."
Except it has.
"Great! I bet all the boy's will adore you!" He squealed, "The girls as well!"
Alex felt his face heat up. This was his life now, talking to people. Could he actually do this? He's going to give it his best shot. No way will he be in debt until out of high school, "Th-thanks."
Adrik nodded, plopping himself down next to Alex.
"So..now that we will be working with each other, we should know more about each other!" He exclaimed, awfully excited to learn about Alex.
"I'll go first, my full name is Adrik Principe Gethen, my favorite color is green, and I am an only child!" He said, gesturing for Alex to do the same.
"O-okay," Alex to a deep breath, "My full name is Alex M-mariachi, I like the color blue, and I'm also an only child being raised by a single dad."
Grey was pulled out of her thoughts as she heard the kettle begin to squeal. She sighed and grabbed a mitt before moving the kettle over. She grabbed another mitt so she could easily pour the tea into the cups. Grey finally placed the cups and saucers on a small wheely-cart and rolled it back out to their table.
"Earl Grey tea. Don't burn yourself." She said as she stopped the cart beside the two.
Caleb looked around the gardens before his eyes fell on an enthusiastic looking brunette.
"Hey, I think Kari could work, right?" he asked Jaxen, pointing in Kari's general direction.
“She likes new things…” Jaxen muttered, then in a louder voice he nodded, “Yeah!”
Adrik hugged Grey.
"Isn't this exciting Grey?!" he exclaimed, his brown eyes wide with excitement, "We haven't had a new host in so long!"
He let go of his friend and jumped up and down.
"And the Boss had her help with other host business a few months ago, remember?"
Caleb added as the twins walked toward Kari.
“How could I forget? Do you wanna ask her or do you want me?” Jaxen asked.
"She's kinda scary. You should ask her." Caleb whispered.
"… you would want me to face her instead?" Jaxen pouted.
