Lars blinked. "I'm confused. We were always good friends until you went off on your own. You don't really have a reason to hate me."
Oliver nodded.

Victoria carefully tiptoed to the lock and examined it. Twelfth century, bronze, spring mechanism, she deducted. Not very strong. I could unlock it with… this! She pulled a bobby pin out of her hair and twisted the lock open.

"Then…why did you kidnap us?"
"The truth is I need your help."

There were no guards outside Victoria’s door. She slipped out quietly, pulling a screwdriver out of her pocket and holding it in a menacing position. Walking down the halls, Vic noticed murmured talking from down the hall, so she listened in. Lars!

Lars squinted. "Why would I help you. You kicked me after all."
Oliver rolled his eyes. "Now you're just being petty."

Lars rolled his eyes. "Look, I've got enough problems without you coming in after 8 years and saying you need my help."

Eight Years?!?!?!

Oliver sighed. "Come on. I just need someone to do an exchange on the New Gaian front."

New Gaia?!?! That’s light years away! Why New Gaia?!? Although there is some pretty sweet sightseeing there….

Lars's eyes widened. "The New Gaian front? We'll die!"

Oliver shrugged. "Maybe, maybe not. I just need you to do this then I'll be forever in your debt."
Lars raised an eyebrow. "I thought you already were."

Forever in Lars’s debt? How?

Oliver shook his head. "Whatever I forgot. Will you do it or not?"
Lars thought for a moment. "Hmmmm……sure."

What no we will die, Victoria thought. Or thought she thought. In reality, she’d said it aloud.

Oliver stood quickly and pointed his gun at the doorway. "Whoever said that step out into the open."

“Um. Okay?” Victoria moved into the doorway, hands raised. “Jeez. Just Becky.”

Lars facepalmed.
Oliver put the gun down. "Oh…well Lars can tell you about the mission now."

“Mission? What mission?” Victoria asked innocently.

Lars sighed. "Vick you've been listening in on our conversation I'm sure you already know."

“No-o-o-o-o…” Victoria said hesitantly.
