Once Maddie returned with the items, Altheia scattered the items in the center saying a small incantation under her breath. Once she said her incantation, a symbol appeared in front of each person. The symbol related to the person, in front of her Altheia saw a pair of wings made by the tea and salt outlining them.

( Pretty much, it's just symbols about your fairytale parent that pop up in front of you)

The image in front of Thanatos transformed from a helmet to a image of Cerberus to an eerily realistic image of souls being tortured and finally stopped on a Cyprus branch.

Susan's symbol was nonstop shifting from a skull and bones, a scythe, and a crown. It finally settled on a scythe cutting through a crown, with a skeleton holding said scythe. "Father…" Susan whispered. It was less of a symbol, and more of a memory to her. (I'll elaborate on that as the story progresses.)

Of course. She thought to herself. They were all things that happened to her father or things he caused.
