Darren laughed, "Hurry up I can hear my dad…"

Lillian finished getting dressed and slid under the bed, "Am I good?"

"Yeah!" Darren whispered just as his father burst into the room, "Hey kid time to get- oh, you're not usually awake already…"
"I'm just ahead of the game today dad!" Darren put a smile on his face.
"Yeah whatever kid, just don't be late for school and don't miss football practice tonight either…" With that his dad slammed the door and headed to work.

Lillian let out the breath she was holding.

Darren heard her breath and chuckled, "Coast is clear now."

Lillian slid out from under the bed, "So that's your dad."

Darren sighed, "The one and only!" He laid down on the bed clearly frustrated with both his father and his disappearing shirt.

Lillian sat down next to him and started playing with his hair. She said in a playful pouty tone, "Are you mad that I lost your shirt?"

"A little frustrated… today is the first day of the end of my life. We have rehearsal after school but I have football practice." Darren looked up at her, he was a bit calmer now with Lillian playing with his hair.

Lillian thought for a second, "Due to the circumstances if you to to practice I won't chase you down with my trombone."

Darren laughed, "You don't understand what I'm saying Lil. I'm gonna go to rehearsal tonight and hope the coach doesn't call my dad… Hence the end of my life."

"Oh," Lillian looked at him smiling, "I think you might have to hide at my house tonight."

Luena awoke, groaning at the pain and heat of the poison running through her bloodstream. Loki had slept right beside her, guarding her from anything. The hellhound was very protective of her.

Genatrix was honestly getting bored of the 'Lloyd.' He hadn't done anything to confirm her rising suspicions as to what he was, and she was pretty close to just going up to him and saying 'Hey, what the fuck are you?'

The familiar shook her head. Master Luena was really starting to rub off on her.

Dang it, I'm late again! Lloyd quickly got dressed and ran out the door, whistling for Val. She came trotting up to him, wings still visible. She concealed herself after a minute or two, and Lloyd hopped on her back. They set off at a gallop, gaining many confused looks from passerby.
