"Er, okay…" Lloyd focused on making the character he was assigned move, and trying to figure out what he was killing people with. After all, the only ranged weapon he had ever used was a bow, and guns were foreign to him.
Lillian spent the entire time holding in her laughter as Darren explained the controls to Lloyd.
(Lol in Destiny they have alien guns that must be even more confusing…)
(Lloyd: Wot is dish
Darren: Ur stupid
Lloyd: Plz just help
Darren: It's a fking button lloyd you press it and it does things
Lloyd: …what kinda things
Darren: I stg)
(Pretty much…)
(Lloyd: OMG IT'S MOVING
Darren: Y r u like this)
(lol)
"Y'all want some food?" Darren just wanted an excuse to get up.
"That would be great," Lillian smiled at Darren.
"M'good…" Lloyd yawned. He had eventually gotten the hang of the game, and also learned that THE A BUTTON JUMPS NOT ATTACKS according to Darren.
(lol)
(Yep….)
(Darren: LLOYD STOP JUMPING
Lloyd: I thought it was A for attack?
Darren: LLOYD I STG YOU'RE GONNA KILL US ALL)
Darren left and returned with a bowl of trail mix, he set it down on the bed between Lillian and himself. "Is trail mix okay with you?"
"Yeah," Lillian responded.
(hahaha the A button mixup is real)
Luena ran up the stairs, back into her room. She used her magic to carefully sew the wound up, after cleaning it thoroughly. She examined the pup some more. Its ears were plastered against its head. Its eyes were clenched shut, and honestly? If she ignored the size, Luena could see the pup as exactly that: A newborn, black, husky puppy.
Luena frowned. In fact, she swore she's seen it before. The young witch levitated a book in front of her. She read the page:
"Many a traveler has journeyed through the Mythic Realm, and they will see many creatures. But remember this, adventurer; no humane creature can cross the barrier between the worlds."
Luena flipped further into the book.
"Adventurers may notice dogs in the forest. Make no mistake, these are mystical creatures in their own right, even if they look humane. For example, both Cerberus and Orthris offspring appear to be single head labrador retrievers, and earn their additional heads through rituals. Another example is the husky. A husky looks very much like a Grim Dog, a Hellhound, or a Dire Wolf. The only way to distinguish these three are the eyes. They can only be white orbs, for the Grim. They will appear to be bright flames, for the Hellhound. The Dire Wolf will have pitch black eyes."
Luena sighed. She had to wait for the pup to open its eyes?!
(don't ya love exposition)
They played for a while but Darren was exhausted from getting no sleep the night before, he fell asleep and no one noticed until his character died and he didn't restart.
(ahh yes. It's great.)
Lillian paused the game when she noticed Darren asleep next to her. She looked down at him and smiled. She leaned over and kissed his forehead.
(and then Lloyd looked over like "Wtf kind of friendship-"
Lloyd yawned again, beginning to nod off but still playing the game. Granted, he had no idea what he was doing, but it was quite pleasant when Darren wasn't constantly telling him to stop jumping.
(Lloyd doesn't give a single flyin frick)
(Lol)
(He's too tired to care tbh. And he just doesn't care. He gave Darren relationship advice, soooo)
Lillian looked over to Lloyd, "Why don't you go to the guest room and I'll make sure Darren doesn't fall off the bed."
"Mm…" Lloyd set the controller down and walked off to the guest room, collapsing onto the bed.
Darren began snoring loudly.
Lillian nudged Darren to try and wake him up, "Come on you big lug. I can't move you on my own."
Darren groaned in protest before sitting up and rubbing his eyes.
"Sorry," Lillian told him. She leaned up against him, "I'm not strong enough to move you on my own."
