"I don't know, maybe you're an Ace magnet?" he offered, putting an arm around her shoulder, "How did I ever find you?" Ace kissed the top of her head and his chest warmed. He had people who loved him and people that he loved. Macha…was something else. She was like, the scent that appears after it has rained, a warm cup of hot chocolate, the feel of an old book, the feeling of accomplishment after a long day, and the smooth touch of a marble statue.

Macha smiled with her eyes closed and her head against his chest, long hair sweeping over her shoulder and pooling in Ace's lap like rainwater. "I love you, Ace.", she murmmured, waves of love pouring gently out of her and surrounding them in a bubble, seperate from time. "Ace?", she asked quietly.

Ace laughed, tracing his hand in a pattern on Macha's leg, I love you. "I love you more."

Macha's wings enveloped the both of them and she put her face close to his, her whole body warm. "Can I be your girlfriend?", she asked breathlessly, hopelessly lost in his eyes.
