Aliana frowned she didn't like this lady one bit. She gave her sane vibes, and she didn't like sane.

“A selection? They didn’t mention this when signing entrance papers,” Vaughn mumbled, still having a heavy frown as he watched the woman. What the hell was going on?
“I don’t like her,” the girl muttered, her fingers tapping quickly against her thigh. “Tell me I’m not the only one.”
Aliana whispered to Venesia, "You're not the only one. She feels off."
Kaz wrapped his arms around himself, anxiety spiking a small bit. The woman continued to ramble on, grinning happily. "Now, I have the list of this year's candidates here," she said, holding the clipboard out so she could read it. "This year's lucky winners are…Kaz Weathers, Vaughn Finley, Venezia Carters, Aliana Goldsmith, Jules Whittaker, and Tenor Staph!"
“Great,” she said, sitting back again and staring at her. She glanced around. Not a lot of people were here, though basically everyone was congregated around the back.
Aliana tilted her head, "But I never entered?"
Venezia flinched at hearing her name. “The hell?” She muttered. “I don’t want to become so freak show experiment.”
“Oh you have got to be fucking kidding me!” Vaughn exclaimed to himself. This was definitely not happening. No way was he going to some goddamn secret facility or something to have himself messed around with.
Kaz froze. "Oh no. Oh hell no. I didn't sign up for this shit," he said, panic creeping into his voice. He stood up, moving to make a break for one of the doors. A guard stopped him before he could get more than a few feet away, and he was shoved forcefully back into his seat. Dr. Rin continued, beaming at the candidates. "You have 24 hours to pack before transport. Enjoy your last day here!" she said before turning on her heel and walking off stage. The lights turned back on, and people began to get out of their seats
Vaughn stood quickly once they were allowed to leave. “This is so not happening. I’m not going anywhere, I’d rather rot in that goddamn bedroom,” he hissed, fists clenching. He had a strong urge to smash his fist into someone’s head, or maybe someone’s ribs.
Venezia didn’t move, absolutely frozen to her seat. “I do not want to become some freak show experiment,” she repeated loudly.
Aliana squeezed Venezia arm tighter. She was smiling, but it was a nervous smile.
She got up, muttering to herself and made for the door.
Aliana followed after Venezia.
"Well this is just great. Wonderful. Wonderfully great," Kaz said, halfway to singing in fear. His chest felt tight, and he knew what that meant. Come on, let me out. I can bash them all in, his mind whined. We'll start with your pretty roommate, he wants to put his fist through your ribs anyways. You're so twiggy he'd snap you like a toothpick unless it was me he was fighting, it sang. He suddenly felt like there were thousands of eyes on him, and the tightening in his chest grew. He started to walk faster towards the room, nails digging into his palms as he tried and failed to stay calm
Vaughn walked after Kaz at a quick pace. His roommate had practically run out of the room, giving him a short moment to catch up. “You need to calm the hell down. Freaking out is definitely not the right thing to do,” he said, falling into step beside Kaz.
"I'm not trying to freak out!" Kaz hissed quietly. He finally reached the door to their room and he threw it open, almost hitting Vaughn in the face with it before near running inside. He walked to the corner next to his bed, his lungs feeling like they were bound by something. He started to hyperventilate, wrapping his arms around himself as he curled into the corner
Vaughn had jerked backwards when the door came a bit too close for comfort. He stepped into the room, eyes narrowing as he watched Kaz. Panic attack, he guessed. Just like you, Finley, the whispers sing songed in his mind. He took a few hesitant steps towards Kaz, watching him warily. “Hey, man, try and take deep breaths or something.”
Kaz ignored him, something dull appearing in his grey-purple eyes. He folded himself further into the corner before scratching at the bandages on his arms, ripping them off carelessly and throwing them to the side. They revealed a multitude of uniform scars, some relatively new. He dug his nails into the wounds, hissing as he fixed an empty gaze on the floor
(oof gtg to bed, g'night)
//goodnight
(Seeyah. It’s almost 4, I should probably go to bed too lol)
Vaughn’s brows raised in surprise and his eyes widened as he looked at the many scars on Kaz’s arms. “Kaz, you fucking idiot, quit that,” he snapped, stepping forward and grabbing onto his wrists, prying the, away from each other.
Even before she had started talking, Tenor had tried to flinch away from the woman onstage, messy hair covering his eyes. Run boy, Run. Unless you want to End Up Like the Ones They Bring BACK. Even before the woman had called his name, Tenor had tried to run, tried to escape. When his blue eyes glanced back at her, an image appeared in his mind, one where he tore her throat out with his teeth and wore her skin. For a moment he was tempted, before realizing he didn't want to do that. After his name was called, he wandered the empty halls in a daze, voices crashing on him, glass falling to the floor of his mind. Run Boy! Escap-I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sor-Now is a good time to freak out. Stumbling, he falls outside one of the rooms, staring at the side of his wrist in fascination. Biting it, he took comfort in the feeling of pain shooting down his arm. Another image, of tearing the skin agay and bleeding out here, and for a moment he bit down harder. Tenor wants to hurt. Tenor wants to bruise. If he wanted to bleed he would be raking his nails across his skin. He just wants to hurt.
(He is outside Kaz's and Vaughn's room)
(aand I'm back)
"Fuck off!" Kaz shouts, though it sounds choked. He had already ripped open a few scabs, and there was blood in his fingernails. His breathing is sporadic now, and the pressure on his lungs hurts. "Fuck off," he repeated, quieter this time
“You’re going to fucking bleed to death if you keep doing that, get a goddamn hold of yourself,” Vaughn said in a stern, demanding tone. He still kept ahold of Kaz’s wrists, grip on the tightening. He heard a thump outside of their room and looked over his shoulder, seeing some other guy biting as his wrist. Jesus Christ, these people are insane here. “Hey, kid! The hell are you doing?” He called to the one outside of their room.
Kaz shifted so he was grabbing onto Vaughn's arms, his breathing shuddery and forced. A decent amount of blood was starting to leak from his wrists, staining the cuffs of Vaughn's shirt. His nails dug into the other man's arms, not realizing how hard he was holding onto him as he tried to ground himself to reality. Kaz's eyes seemed glazed and unfocused, staring ahead but not really looking at anything
Vaughn flinched when Kaz grabbed onto him, and growled when he noticed that his clothes were getting bloody. “Kaz, get the hell off me,” he hissed. He didn’t like talking to strangers, and he really didn’t like when strangers touched him.
Kaz flinched, and he seemed to snap back to reality. He looked up at Vaughn, grey eyes wide in fear and shame. He looked down at where he was holding onto Vaughn, and he let go almost immediately. His hands went to his throat, scratching at the skin like something was there strangling them. "I'm s-sorry," he choked out, not daring to look at Vaughn
