"Yeah," Brandon responded, "Can't be worse than my mom and her boyfriend."
"Ugh, that must be horrible," Blaine sympathized, sitting down in the empty seat next to Venus. She noticed where her friend's gaze was directed and cringed, seeing the dark sky herself. Rain wasn't exactly her favorite thing in the world. Nor was water in general.
“Do you guys want to go back?” Jane asked, noticing Blaine’s expression. “We can, if you want.”
Ender smiled. "Hey looks like rain!"
"It's fine. A little rain never hurt anyone, right?" Blaine joked half-heartedly.
(I LOVE YOU AVATAR EVEN MORE)
(XD THANKS, ME, TOO!!!)
//IKR ITS GORGEOUS GOOD JOB @AmethystBlaize
(Thanks! I just found it on Pinterest, so I can't take any credit for it, but I like it!)
Ender nodded. "I love rain!"
Blaine looked out the window again before turning her attention back to her friends.
"So, what is everyone getting?" she asked, trying to change the subject.
Ender smiled. "I 'm getting Venus something on the way back. I have no clue what I'm getting…."
"I have no idea," Brendon responded.
"I'm definitely getting orange chicken," Blaine declared. "It's the best, by far."
Brendon nodded, "Yeah, orange chicken is pretty good."
(Should we skip to the end of the meal, maybe?)
(Yee)
(I'm fine with that.)
Blaine pushed her last piece of chicken around her plate, distracted by the downpour that had started during their meal. She was none too pleased about it, but she was trying to ignore the fear that was trying to choke her.
Brendon finished the last of his food, he saw as Blaine pushed the chicken around. He recalled how she seemed frightened almost when the rain started to come down. He mustered his confidence and asked, "Are you okay Blaine?"
Blaine looked up, the voice tearing her from her thoughts.
"Yeah, I'm fine," she lied, giving Brendon a small smile. "I guess the long day is just catching up with me, ya know?"
Brendon nodded, "I get it. You have to run a Haunted House with these buffoons. I mean that in a teasing way by the way. I don't think they are actual buffoons. It would be cool though. Like instead of buffoons though they were baboons!"
Blaine laughed.
"Yeah, exactly," she agreed, grinning. "Maybe not baboons, though. They would just be even harder to deal with, then!"
Brendon laughed, "Okay then what would be easier? Dolphins?"
"Hm… Maybe dogs. They're pretty obedient," Blaine replied.
Brendon nodded, "The next question would be which breed? Cause some dogs can be pretty disobedient."
Blaine smiled and answered, "Oh, probably either Border Collies or Golden Retrievers. They're some of the most obedient dogs."
"An older Golden Retriever," Brendon added on smiling, "That way they're already trained."
(Is it okay if Brendon's had a crush on Blaine for a majority of high school?)
(Yeah, that'd be fine. I was thinking Blaine would've had one on him at least for a while, but she just hides it well.)
