Lillian smiled and walked to pet Sydney. Her fur was so soft and fluffy, "She's so fluffy!"
Lillian smiled and walked to pet Sydney. Her fur was so soft and fluffy, "She's so fluffy!"
Darren nodded and winked at Lillian his smile growing.
(Lloyd over here is clueless on the subject of basic human things)
Lillian's smile grew as she giggled. God why did Darren do this to her?
Darren turned to Lloyd. "You good man?"
"Yeah, just… what is this?" He stared quizzically at Sydney. "I've never encountered this species before. It's soft, but it doesn't fly…"
Darren chuckled, "It's a dog. Humans keep them as pets; companions."
"Yeah," Lillian kept petting Sydney, "They're really cute and useful!"
"Did you not just call it a 'Border Collie', though? You seem to be contradicting yourself…" Lloyd examined the dog. "Seriously, do none of your creatures have wings?"
"Cute and useful." Darren repeated.
"Birds have wings… And Border Collie is the type of dog. There are different kinds."
"My favorite are huskies," Lillian said, "They look so fun and playful in pictures!"
"Really? I mean, I've seen birds before. They're in the sky, after all. Do you guys not have pegasi? Griffons? Surely there's unicorns down here, they don't even fly."
"Those exist?" Lillian asked, her eyes grew wide.
"Except for when you have to run 1million miles with them or they run away or they shed half their body weight 3 times a day!" Darren retorted sarcastically.
(That was to the husky comment…)
(Got it.)
Lillian looked at Darren, "I've never met or owned one. They just look fun to own."
"Prospectively." Darren laughed.
"Of course they do! You've never seen one? I thought they were quite common in the midst of forests. They are quite talented at disguising themselves as ordinary 'horses' though…"
"Yeah," Lillian laughed.
"Horses are unicorns?" Darren quirked an eyebrow.
(Good news I got my foot back!)
"Not all of them. Although, if you see a mostly white horse in the forest, it's fairly likely that it's a unicorn. We can go find one if you'd like."
"That's so weird," Lillian said.
"Hate to change the subject on unicorns but are you guys hungry?"
(YAY!)
Lillian's stomach growled, her face heated up. She said, "I'm going to say yes."
Lloyd shook his head. "I don't require sustenance."
"Is mac and cheese good with you guys?"
"You don't have to eat Lloyd?"
