You know what, Im not even going to explain it. Life sucks. Especially when you're in the apoloypse, chased by mutant spiders, and you only have a knife on you. I know, none of this makes any sense. I mean it was right there, the entrance was right there! But noooooo some stupid spider had to get me stuck in some webbing. But don't worry, I managed to cut my way through the webbing and kill some spiders before I went screaming Bloody Mary in the open. And yes I am still being chased by spiders, thank you very much.
Zoe narrated that entire experiance in her head as she sat down on the branch of a tree, kind of resting. She was covered in dirt and sticky webbing and her friends had probably left her, Alone. The only thing she had was a knife, which wasn't bad. She figured she could make her way to the warehouse to stack up on food, water, and supplies before she went out to regroup with her friends. They'd probably think I'm a zombie though.
Cash raises his eyebrows at the newcomer. So, yeah, sure she just saved us from certain slimy death, but that doesn't mean she's open to us being alive. He remembers the cowboy.
"Hey," He begins lamely. "Thanks."
“I’m Harley. Do you guys have any idea what those things are?” She asked
[I don't remember who is all with me. I know Pollux, Lila and now Harley are with Cash; is there anyone else? (I mean, is there anyone in the same place as Cash?)]
"Ah, uh." Cash had been half-expecting this girl to know everything. "Cash." He says, gesturing to himself. "And this is Pollux, and Lila." Looking at the disgusting corpse of the creature, he adds. "Nope."
Zoe could hear some rushling in the bushes. Crap. She whipped around to see more spiders. This place is infected with them. She thought to herself as she lept down from the tree and crashed through the field before she stumbled onto the road and saw the group. "Heys up." Zoe called out as she threw her knife at a spider that came up behind them. What she didn't like was that there were more people in they're group.
“Zombie spider. Class 8 in my book.” She says hooking her crossbow to her back
Cash has no time to answer Harley. Suddenly Zoe is there, alive, followed by a swarm of the creatures. Cash runs forward and lets his bat fall with a sickening thump onto the head of one of the creatures. His hands are instantly slick with fluid from the spider, its lifesource spilling from its wound, but he only grips his bat tighter, swinging it until it hits another one of the spiders.
Harley jumps on the back of one of them and waits u TIL another one sees her. She waits a little longer until it tries to attack her then jumps down, successfully killing two birds with one stone
"I need ammo." Zoe called out as she went to retrieve her knife before kicking a spider in the face before whipping and stabbing it. Then ducking under another who tried to leap onto of her and kicked ut into a tree.q
(This is terrible, especially since this is such an intense moment, but I've got to go. Feel free to continue and/or end the scene.)
"Pollux!" Cash tries to get his friend's attention, remembering in between trying to stay alive that Pollux is the only one of them carrying a gun, and, therefore, ammo.
Harley loaded a bolt in her crossbow and aimed at a spider.
(Pollux have his gun to someone else lol. He’s got an axe)
Pollux looked around and saw that his friends were ill-equipped to take on the spiders. He poised to strike if any of the monsters came near, axe in hand.
(Shoot, we're doomed! XP)
The swarm overwhelms them, and for a second Cash thinks, Shoot, this is it. Then he sees an opening, dashing out between a few who were unwittingly surrounding him. He bashes in the head of one, and then knocks off a leg of another.
Nope, he thinks as he kicks a flailing creature to to its belly. And then, shouting aloud as he struggles against another, "I'm not dying today!"
Peyton shakily aimed and started firing at the creatures. She had followed the boys and was now trying her best to fend them off with the gun Pollux had given her.
"We'll live to fight another day!" Zoe cried out as she stabbed the spider Cash was struggling with. "We need to get to higher ground." She cried out before she actually went out of her way and made herself bait. "COME AND GET ME YOU BASTARDS!!"
(We now know who has the gun, thanks.)
"Zoe, no!!" Cash manages to think logically for a second and yells to Peyton just as several of the creatures respond to Zoe's call and head to her. "Peyton, get them!!" A second. "Don't hit Zoe!"
Peyton nodded as she continued fighting, "I'll try not to."
Shockingly enough this med student turned survivor was pretty decent with the gun. She started to come towards the others.
(I've got to go now, but I'll be back later.)
Cash nods wildly in response, beating back the creatures with his bloodied bat. In the flury, you wildly hit at anything moving; the chaos makes it difficult to discern what is friend or enemy.
Pollux aimed to disable the spiders and swept his axe towards the legs. If they couldn’t move, they couldn’t attack, right?
(Right. "And then the creatures sprouted green wings, and humanity was officially D.O.O.M.E.D.")
The wave of creatures is destroyed, but Cash is afraid that there will be more. "We need to get out of here."
Pollux nodded. "You don't have to ask me twice." He took a swift survey of his surroundings to make sure no more creatures were too close at the moment.
Cash takes another look around and checks himself for any cuts. "Everyone okay?"
"I am," Pollux answered, trembling a little, "So there are freaking giant mutant spiders now? I think I'd actually rather die."
“Harley sighed “we need to move, this many in one area means that their part of a pack, and the rest are bound to come.”
