Benji leaned against the counter, holding his apron. "I like providing for myself. Besides, their food is different from what I usually used to eat. It may be delicious, but I prefer the foods that Kasami-san would make and the foods we'd help her make." he put on the pink apron that had the chibi figure of a teddy-bear with a chef's hat and spoon. "Besides, the apron makes me feel cute."
“You don’t need an apron, you’re already cute.” Jason muttered to himself, then in a louder voice be said, “That’s nice.”
"It is nice." Benji thought he'd heard Jason say something before, but he brushed it off. "I would say you'd look cute with this on too, but you're already pretty cute."
Jason’s face flushed a rosy pink. “T-thank you,” then he muttered, “you too.”

"Want me to make something? You can watch." Benji picked up a wooden spoon, staring at it.

Benji nodded and headed to the cupboard. "Back then, we'd have to go outside and get our ingredients. Here, we just grab it from the mall."
“Let’s go!” Jason said like an enthusiastic child.
"Okay. What do you want me to make?" Benji was so much shorter than Jason. He'd just realized that. I bet I can still destroy him in a fight.

"Boiled eggs."
“… what’s your favorite?”
"I like making ramen and gyoza."
“Then make that.”

"Sounds groovy." Benji grabbed Jason's hand and headed out the room.

Jason cracked a smile and tried to keep up.
He headed towards the mall again and went into a small grocery shop. "We need to find flour."
“Okie dokie, … where would the flour be?”

"Let's find it." Benji read the signs above the aisles, looking for flour.

"Wheat flour."
“Oh, like this one?” Jason asked, pointing at a bag of wheat flour.
His eyes lit up. "Yes." he masked his excitement.
“What’s next?”
"Chicken."
Jason blinked, “Like a full live chicken or…?”
"Like some chicken meat. I don't like pork in my gyoza." Benji stared at Jason's ear. It was a nice ear.
