“No. It's not that.” Charlie chuckled, taking the opportunity to take off her cloak. “I’ve shared a bed before with traveling companions and the occasional stranger.” she winked. “But I’ve never even thought about just sleeping in the same bed as… as a goddess. You have to admit, to a mortal such a thing is a pretty intimidating idea. Even if it is just sleeping and nothing more.” she clarified.

Irae nodded. "Ah. You are… Intimidated? I'll take that as a compliment. I promise I won't try to do anything other than sleep- if that comforts you at all." She said, sitting on the bed and taking her boots off.

“Yeah, I guess you could say that.” Charlie smirked softly. “I’m glad I didn't offend you with that though. And, if it assures you, I wasn't planning on anything more than sleeping either,” she promised, following Irae’s example and sitting on the other side of the bed.

Irae shrugged. "If you did, it would be your funeral. I sincerely doubt you would be able to make me do anything I didn't want to. I wasn't worried." She said, taking off her cloak and shirt, revealing the bandages wrapped tightly around her torso. "Did the medic say anything about how long these need to stay on?" She asked, stretching out.

“I have no doubt.” Charlie chuckled, holding up her hands in playful surrender. She wouldn't even dream of trying to make a deity do anything they didn't want to. “I don't really remember how long she said to leave your bandages on, but we can check them in the morning.”

Irae nodded, laying on her side and curling her rain around her waist. "In that case, I am going to rest like the medic suggested. Wake me up if there is any trouble or you need me for anything. Really. I will be more mad if you let me sleep when you need me than if you wake me up for a false alarm."

Charlie chuckled softly and shook her head. “Don't know why but that reminds me of a halfling friend I traveled with once. That woman could wield a frying pan like nobody’s business. In cooking and combat. Many shattered knee caps.” she smirked fondly as she stretched out like a cat.

“They absolutely are.” Charlie smiled watching Irae fall asleep. “Brought almost every enemy down for the rest of our group to finish. And those we left alive, had to tell the story of how they were defeated by a small woman with all the ferocity of an angry mama bear.”

Charlie smiled softly at the sight of Irae finally sleeping. It shouldn't have been a surprising sight, considering the unusual events of the day but…
She wasn't entirely sure if she was tired yet or not but decided to go ahead and close her eyes for a while anyways.

Irae nodded. "It's so weird- it feels like I still have my wings, but as I try to use them, they aren't there." She said, sighing and tilting her head forward. The wounds had scabbed over, and while they looked bad, they looked like they were healing correctly, with no sign of infection.
(Btw, I'll be in Japan next week and won't have time to respond as much)

"I've heard of that. Travlers who've lost a limb… I've heard them call it a phantom feeling." Charlie said softly as she looked over Irae's wounds. "Good news though. Everything seems to be healing fine. It's not done healing, and it's probably going to itch later on, but it's coming along pretty good." she explained. "Of course, I've heard Elf healers are some of the best so it's not that surprising."

@FanfictionFanatic-The-Elder group

“Yeah, probably. I think I have some spare fresh bandages in my bag if you'd like me to rewrap it for you.” Charlie nodded. “I don't blame you for how you feel though. Obviously, I've never experienced it and can't quite imagine it… but it sounds very unpleasant.”

Irae nodded, in response to both things. She looked over her shoulders and sighed. "I wonder, when I'm a god again, if they'll grow back both whole, or if one will grow back burnt like it use to be- I don't remember burning it, as far as I know it was always that way, but it might come back normal. Then I could actually fly instead of just half-glide." She mused.
