Personality: an idealist, calm and reserved but also has this nervous energy about them, passionate on the inside. Perpetually tired at the same time. Driven by their morality, and often drifts into deep thought. Pretty nerdy too. I imagine they hide many sides of themself though, as they have this mindset that nobody cares or that they have to be certain way for other people. Oh yeah, they’re also a people pleaser. Basically an extension of my gifted kid energy, y’know.
Hobbies/Talents/Interests: They have a lot of interest in tech and study computer science in college. They also love reading and take an interest in literature. Their blood is magical and they use it in their spell work. Emery tends to use it to enchant objects, but they can also manipulate it directly (like with blood bending). This takes more energy though, and the more blood Emery uses, the more they are physically drained.
Background (TW for CSA!): Emery was raised an only child by a single mother who was a sex worker. Her work was just enough to get the two of them by. From the beginning Emery was very curious and eager to learn, and so their mother made sure to encourage them and foster their education, even if it meant she had to work a lot to support them. Unfortunately, sometimes that led to their mother’s clients meeting her at their apartment and seeing Emery there. Despite their mother’s precautions and attempts to keep them safe, when they were about nine years old, they were molested by one of her clients. The client did this for about two days before he was caught, and it left Emery very scarred. Not long after that they started puberty, and their powers began to manifest, so they were under a lot of stress. Their mother tried to her best to move on from homeschooling and get them to a school so as to keep them safe from being hurt again. After about a year, another one of their mother’s clients offered to take them into his home. This client happened to be quite wealthy and distinguished, and after thinking on it, their mother sent Emery with him. She told them to never reveal their supernatural abilities to him and call her anytime they needed her. Emery never saw this man as any sort of father figure, merely a benefactor that had the money and generosity to send them to school. He was kind enough, and stopped seeing their mother after taking them in. He never found out about their abilities. They stayed distant from each other, and Emery poured themself into their studies. Sometimes the benefactor took them to visit their mother as well. Once they entered collage though, they saw both their mother and the benefactor a lot less. They found and joined a witch coven that taught them about magic and how to control their abilities.
Conditions (Mental or Physical): diagnosed with PTSD when they were around 17. Has a nut allergy. Their nose and ears tend to bleed on occasion

Personality: Kani is known for being a kind and gentle soul, always wearing a smile on their face. Just a cutie pie, if you will. Underneath that, she’s incredibly sassy and loves to joke around. She can be distrustful and sometimes jaded with life, but usually her brightness wins over. She has a lot of emotional intelligence and is good at comforting others, even if she doesn’t always have a solution. She also hates seeing any kind of bullying or discrimination and she will stand up for people whenever she sees it happening.
Hobbies/Talents/Interests: hanging out with friends, history, mythology and folklore, cooking and eating Korean food, playing board games. Kani can see and communicate with ghosts/spirits, as well as freely travel between the mortal world and underworld. She can also create force fields and see into the memories of corpses, sometimes objects, when she touches them
Background: Kani is a demigod, daughter of the Korean goddess of the underworld, Bari Gongju, and the mortal Aeri Myo. After meeting and becoming lovers, the mortal and the goddess decide to start a family. Bari Gongju offered Aeri the elixir of life to allow her to become pregnant, though this resulted in the pregnancy being unstable and the delivery frightening. Kani was a good 3 weeks early and she and Aeri had to stay at the hospital for a few days after she was born. Ultimately though, things turned out alright and the mortal and goddess now had a wonderful child. Kani was mainly raised by Aeri for most of her early childhood, but Bari Gonju visited a lot, Kani’s demigod heritage was no secret. She was 10 years old when her powers began manifesting and she started seeing ghosts. At that point, Bari Gongju took her into the underworld so Kani could learn to control her powers. She also made a lot of ghosts friends. Aeri was worried about her though, and so she returned to the mortal realm after 2 years. She was happy to be back with her human mom, but became lonely without her ghost friends, and not long after she started moving between the Underworld and the mortal realm more frequently. She also started going to a summer camp so she could make more friends that were, ahem, alive and has been going since she was 13.
Conditions (Mental or Physical): She was born with spina bifida, and although she had surgery for it, there were complications that resulted in mobility problems in her legs. She uses a wheelchair a lot because of this. She also deals with chronic pain and fatigue

Other Information: she has a bone hair clip that can turn into a scythe. Idk if that’s allowed either but ye

(weapons are left behind? Good to know. How thoroughly were they searched? Will Lili still have hairpins? Clothes, or will those be different? Any weapons under clothing that she sleeps with? Earrings? Other jewelry? What about a small glass bottle of what looks like water and smells like faint saline water and is actually her tears to make poisons, or is that taken too? Need to make sure I need to know what she has and dosen't.)

(They’re pretty in-depth I’d say—normal clothes are still kept but anything hidden underneath is taken, hairpins and jewelry are normally also taken, especially if they’re sharp. They take any fluids unless they’re needed medically. Any medical devices/mobility aids are obviously kept, even if they could be dangerous (Helios’s prosthetics, for example— he could crush someone’s windpipe with them, but he still needs arms). If anyone here had a service animal (hypothetically of course, since no one here has one if I remember correctly), that would likely be kept for the owner’s safety. This would only apply to guide animals or any other medical use service animals, not emotional support animals.)
