It took me a second to process that that was in Scottish Gaelic. Lol I forget I can read it.
Tha thu gu math foirmeil. Tha e gu math èibhinn!
(Do not run it through Google translate, it formalizes words and phrases lol)
Well, I'm learning through an app so it doesn't teach non-formal Scottish Gaelic.
Aye, but I do speak in a fine Irish accent. Strange.
And I'm not Irish.
Well, I'm learning through an app so it doesn't teach non-formal Scottish Gaelic.
Which app? I love looking into them! Duolingo is pretty good, I just think it's scattered. But it's solid.

DuoLingo as a matter of fact.
The green owl is indeed a menace. But the app is good.
slow blink
I blink back at you
Fake Irish blink
True American blink
At least I think I'm American.
It's been about 3 months since I've actually checked where I am. I could be in Columbia. I could be in Bangladesh. I could be in your basement.
I don't… I don't have a basement. Wait, are you in my closet? Is that why every day, before I go to school, my closet door is open?!
I'm in the vents, but I haven't seen anyone in the closet.
I have no clue where I am. It's always very dark no matter where I look.
Damn it. You must be in my pocket dimension.

Here, I put a light in. Jesus. HOW DID YOU EVEN GET IN THERE?
I walked like everyone else? I made two rights, a left, walk straight for 50 feet and make another left and arriving at the closet.
Hi y'all
Well, I'm learning through an app so it doesn't teach non-formal Scottish Gaelic.
oh hey! i was learning the same on duolingo a little while ago too!
Hi y'all
CINNA
How does formality work in Scottish Gaelic?
In Italian, you use the informal only with family, friends, and people younger than you (or anywhere online). Everywhere else, you use the formal.
And the Italian course on Duolingo teaches the informal at first and then only brings in the formal much later on (but I haven't used Duolingo in years since they made that terrible UI change and then, much later, fired the volunteers and replaced them with AI).
