Allyanna nodded. "Alright. But first things first, I need to fix your ship. If one of our shows up, the humans will know about us…"
Allyanna nodded. "Alright. But first things first, I need to fix your ship. If one of our shows up, the humans will know about us…"
"Thats the first step" Al agreed. "I'll just stay in here for now, I'll warn you if someone comes" She answered
Allyanna nodded, heading back to the garage. "There's food in the kitchen" she called on her way out.
"Thank you!" She called back before she heard the door shut
Allyanna honestly had no idea how to fix a ship. She was a medic, not an engineer or mechanic. She had a quick snippit of video of what it looked like before it crashed, but that was only the outside. But she still tried. She searched up blueprints of all types of public ships on her planet, and based it off of that. She worked for hours that night, trying really hard to figure out what she was doing.
After Allyanna had been out there well past whatever Al considered would be late on this planet, she got up. She went to the kitchen and made a plate, got a cup of water as well, and took it over to the garage. She took a deep breath and steeled herself before entering the garage. She set the plate down on the table nearby and knocked loudly twice on the wall beside her
Allyanna, inside the garage, jumped. She had just about figured out how to replace the inside of the ship with something she could actually make, while still keeping the outside intact. She quickly threw a tarp over the remains, before opening the door.
Al held the food and water out, unsure if the translator would work in the threshold between the house and garage, and deciding to just speak anyway. "It's late, you need to eat something"
(too tired for words,.autocorrect my savior. I will respond in the morning, but more than half these words were completely illegocls before autocorrect. Can't really tall how many wren fixed, but… You know. Will respond later
))
(haha I'm awake now)
Allyanna looked at the food, then smiled lightly. "Thank you, Al. I definitely would have forgotten to eat-" she muttered the last part, but the stepped into the house and accepted the water and food.
Al nodded. "I figured you would have. You've been in there forever" She replied with a light smile, stepping aside and closing the garage door behind Allyanna
Allyanna walked back to the living room, sitting down to eat. "Have you eaten yet?"
She nodded. "i ate a little while ago. I was expecting you to come in and do the same at some point, but you were clearly in the zone"
Allyanna nodded. "Full disclosure- I have no idea how to fix a Nefili shop, let alone a human one- but I think I figured something out?" It was more a question than a statement.
"What are your ideas?" She responded. Al had worked on battleships in the Marines, and would be abe to help at least with the exterior
"I'm planning on taking the smallest ship available to a Nefili, and building up the hull in the right shape, to attach your exterior to it. That way, it will at least look like your ship." She said, grabbing a pencil and sketching it out as she talked.
Al nodded as she listened. "I can work on the exterior. I worked on battleships back in the Marines, so I can weld, and for my ship to be flight ready, the exterior needs to be able to withstand extreme heat, as entering earth's atmosphere burns up most meteorites that near the planet"
(I just tried to take my meds and ended up getting water up my nose. Ouch)
Allyanna nodded. "That sounds great! Might won't to wait until after I have cleaned up the wreckage though."
(oof i haven't taken mine yet)
"I will" Al replied. "Welding isn't safe with the wreck still in that shape"
(take meds)
Allyanna nodded. "I will go out and get replacements for the unsalvageable parts tomorrow." She said, finishing her food.
"Alright" Al agreed. "But for now, you should get some sleep, its late"
Allyanna looked down. "I do not really want to. I am slightly afraid of nightmares tonight." She confessed.
She smiled softly. "If you wanna stay up with me, you're more than welcome. Same thing here"
Allyanna smiles. "Thank you. Maybe we should both sleep though. Would it helped if we slept in the same room? Sometimes the comfort of another person is enough to stave off the nightmares."
"Sure, sounds good" Al replied
Allyanna nodded, going into her room quickly, and coming out with several blankets and a pillow. She arranged them on the couch, before taking off her prostatic leg and sitting. She smiled happily. "Are you ready for bed?"
