Devon led the way to the Inn, getting them a pair of rooms, handing the innkeep some gold peices and grabbing the keys, "Leo, you can room with Elias and I… or the girls if you prefer-".

Ciana raised her eyebrow. "Yeah, I don't think so. Boys don't room with me." She said, grabbing one of the keys and motioning to Ginger. "Shall we?"

Ginger grinned, enormously relieved to finally have a rest. She dramatically offered her arm to Ciana. "Onward, fair maiden!" If her feet hadn't been so sore she would have skipped up to their room. She hadn't ever walked so far in one day and she knew she was going to feel it in the morning. "Have fun, boys!" she blew a sarcastic kiss to them. "I'm going to sleep like a dead thing," she said to Ciana as they made their way to their room.

Ciana nodded in agreement. "All the layers needed in this kingdom have made it difficult to store energy-" she commented, thankful to be indoors again. "I think this is our room." She said, pointing.

Ginger tested the key. The lock slid back, a bit stiff, and the door creaked softly open. "Ok!" she said, her limbs and eyes heavy with exhaustion. "I'm just gonna…" she flopped bonelessly on the first bed, still in all her travel gear, and sank into sleep in minutes. Her dreams were thick and unremarkable, clinging like cobwebs when she would awake. Just before she fully drifted off she managed to mumble a slurred goodnight to Ciana.

Ciana smiled softly, putting another blanket on top of Ginger to keep her warm in the cold climate. Ciana changed into clean clothes, before quickly falling into sleep on the other bed.

Leo was about to ask to room with the girls but kept quiet when they left. He followed Devon and Elias quietly.

Devon and Elias walked to the room, both of them going over to the same bed, so that Leo didnt have to share.

Leo looked up at the two of them, "You two can take the bed, I'll take the floor." Before they could answer,
Leo took off his shirt to reveal scars down his back before quickly changing into a night shirt.
Looking at the two of them, he gave a soft smile, "I'm going to go use the bathroom and take care of my head so I don't get blood on the pillows." He gestured to his thorn crown and disappeared into the bathroom.

Devon shrugged, setting his stuff beside his bed, taking off the mask he wore and rubbing his face, he felt for Leo, not that he would ever let anyone see his scars, but sometimes he showed the one on his face, around people he tolerated. He laid on his back, still fully dressed, shoes on and everything.

Elias took off his shirt and vest before he climbed into the bed beside Devon, under the blankets, unlike the dark heir who just laid on them…trapping them. He huffed, "your such a blanket hog" But he laid his head on Devon's shoulder anyway, quickly falling asleep.

When Leo came out of the bathroom, he saw that they had still left him a bed and smiled. Maybe Devon wasn't as cold as he seemed. Leo crawled into bed and slept peacefully until the morning.

In the morning, Ciana woke early, sitting in the window to soak up as much sun as she could before the others woke. She checked her injuries, the healing Leo did seemed to have worked, and they hadn't opened again. She watched out the window, waiting for others to wake up.

Ginger dreamed of stabbing fog and prickly smiles in shadowed corridors. Something jolted her awake, breath hitching, nerves jangling. But by the time her eyes were fully open all the memories had dissolved, like mist in morning sunlight. She inhaled, deep and slow, then exhaled forcefully. Whatever her sleeping mind had come up with overnight still left a lingering feeling of adrenalized nervousness. She tried to breathe it away. It didn't work.
Ginger stretched her arms above her head. She watched Ciana standing at the little grimy window for only a moment before making noise. She looked so calm, soaking up the pale morning sunlight, and Ginger was loathe to disturb the tangible peace. "What kind of food-like sustenance do they have at this little inn?" she asked, voice husky from sleep. "Do you know?" As if to press the matter, her stomach gurgled audibly.

Ciana shrugged. "I've heard the ice kingdom is big on honey, as edible plants don't grow here making it hard to form or livestock. But flowers like poinsettias grow in the cold, so bees can still produce." Ciana said, but shrugged again.
"Honestly, I'm probably wrong. My information about other kingdoms was fairly limited, and about half of it was just rumors."

Devon woke up first in the other room, going into the bathroom to change into fresh clothes, looking at his reflection. He frowned at the scar that covered half his face. He walked back into the room, putting the mask back on, and slinging his staff across his back, the source peices glowing faintly as soon as he touched the staff.

Elias woke a few minutes later, noisily. He changed into more brightly colored clothes, looking tacky as always. And then leaned against Devon, as he eas still half asleep.

Leo woke up and groaned and changed into a brown sweater and cargo pants. He grabbed his fur coat and smiled as he watched Elias lean on Devon. "Looks like someone isn't a morning person."
