Jane sighed. “I have to go somewhere? And be social?”

Ender chuckled. "You don't have to be social. Just stick with the group."

“But I have to talk to people,” Jane groaned. “Do I have to?”

“Fine,” Jane sighed. “I’m coming.” She grabbed her sweatshirt off its hook and followed Ender out of the house.

Brendon was at the Chinese place. He was checking his phone while waiting.
