"Head forward." Cash whispers to the others. He takes a tentative step in the direction of the field, looking about him with wild eyes. The girl who was talking to Zoe is gone. Taken by the thing, too?

Deleted user

Zoe fired off more gun shots at the creature and tried to scream for help, but her screams were cut off when she entered unconsciousness.

The next thing you know, she was hanging 20 feet up in the air in some kind of web cocoon. Where am I?

@Becfromthedead group

Pollux kept his axe at the ready, following Cash's lead. He kept his gaze unfocused, shifting, and taking in every last inch of his surroundings, unsure what to expect.

(You're in, @FireSky /Harley!)

Cash holds his bat in one hand, looking about him hopelessly. "She's gone." He opens his mouth to say more, but….."She's gone." The noises have ceased; they've heard nothing for several minutes. Even the occasional noises from the Infected seem to be fewer and farther apart.

( Ignore, some people will understand. Its fine.)

Bumps into Zoe and just stares blankly, not really knowing whats going on
"i'm sorry" i apologize as i take out my bat and go in a defensive stance

( Holy crap, I did not see that.)

"Who the hell are you?!" She said defensively and took out her guns .

I'm Arastotzka, who the heck are you
(finally this roleplay is alive)

“Oh god… should… should we look for her? Clearly there’s something lurking here, and there’s no guarantee we’re safe too.” Pollux was horribly anxious and beginning to ramble.

@Peter_Duende language

"Dude," Cash holds a hand up, keeping his voice low and steady. "Pollux, we need to calm down, okay? Just calm down. We're going to find her. We're going to be okay." He's always hated lying, but at least Pollux can probably see through his structurally unsound falsehood. He looks about them, at the dead world. "We're gonna be okay."

@Becfromthedead group

“I know we need to stay calm… my body doesn’t believe it though…” He was shaking, his heart was racing, and he was breathing heavily. “So, should we just book it? Leave her? It seems wisest to do so.”

@Becfromthedead group

"Sit down?" he cried softly, "Right now? Right here? Um… oh, all right… I'll just catch my breath, yeah?" Pollux leaned down on one knee to rest for a moment, and then he was finally able to hear the growling Cash had mentioned. He looked up from the ground.
"It's closer now. I heard it, Cash. Do you see anything?"

@Peter_Duende language

"No." Cash grips his bat with sweaty hands. The growling sends chills down his spines, and he wishes he could just 'pause' and take a breather before confronting the thing. He almost wishes whatever it was would show itself; it'd be better than just hearing it and not knowing where it is.

(If the others update, we can do a small time jump.)

Zoe looked down and saw both her guns on the floor of the cave and looked up and saw her body wrapped in webs. She didn't dare to make any noise although it felt her head was about to explode. Zoe could barely grasp a dagger that was hidden in her pants, hoping it would not alert any of the monsters/creatures.

@ShadeStar

Peyton had been following Pollux and Cash in fear for her life. It didn't feel safe alone in the wilderness. She was on edge jumping at every little noise.

@Peter_Duende language

Cash grins at her dry humor. Speaking of dry…..with another look at their surroundings, Cash leans his bat against his leg and slips his backpack off of his shoulder, rummaging through it until he finds a water bottle.

"Here, catch." He tosses it to Peyton. He pulls out another and hands it to Pollux. Their water is precious, but they need something to steady them.

@ShadeStar

Peyton caught the water bottle with a slight grin glad that he was willing to share water. She opened the bottle and took a small sip before saying to Cash, "Thanks."

@Peter_Duende language

Cash nods a welcome, pulling out his bottle from before. He keeps himself from completely finishing off the water in the bottle, but, man, it's hard.

"We're going to need to go after whatever took Zoe." He states it, instead of asking a question. He doesn't like taking the lead, but what with Pollux recovering and slightly out of it with fear, Cash, for some reason, feels the responsibility of leading the others fall on his shoulders.

Zoe grunted softly as she managed to cut the webbing the held up and dropped to the dirt floor in a thud. She groaned as she got up and shook the dust from her and heard some clicking nearby. Quickly, she grabbed the guns and checked the ammo. It wasn't enough to get her out alive. Her options weren't a lot as Zoe slowly creep towards the sound. She planned to get out of here alive.

@ShadeStar

Peyton let out a small sigh as she put away the half empty water bottle. She looked back up to Cash and nodded. She racked her head as to what could've taken her.

@Peter_Duende language

"I'm guessing….I mean, it….." Cash starts again, trying to answer one of the many questions shared by all. "It could've been something Infected. But….that thing wasn't human."

@ShadeStar

Peyton thought for a second and gave another quick nod, "It definitely wasn't. If it was it's far gone. Though I doubt it was."
