“Okay. No jokes. I need a minute. I’m Meg. Be right back,” Meg rushed. “Oh. Hi.” She waved at the girl who’d just come up and ran back into her house, coming outside again a few minutes later.

Oh good, another guy. Sam thought as the boy ran up to him. "Okay hello you two, I'm Sam. Does anyone know what's happening?"

Meg shook her head violently.

Reyna desperately searched around trying to find others who were't turned to ash.
"Hello?! Anyone?!"

Jay panted as he came to a stop. “No. All I know is my sister is gone and everyone else is vanishing just like she did.”

“My dad….” Meg whispered.

Sam took out his notebook. "Well, not everyone. Only some people. There seems to be no connection between the people who have disappeared, and they don't seem to share a common trait or anything."

“Sherlock,” Meg grumbled. “Sorry. I’m just- what’s happening?”

He shook his head, running his fingers through his hair. "I don't know…this doesn't make any sense…"

Jay ran a hand through his hair. “So you guys are telling me that random people are just randomly disappearing?”

“I guess? But no connections… this is so confusing,” Meg sighed, twirling a strand of hair.

“I live alo-“ she started, before a horrified look came over her face. “I’ll be right back.” She ran into the house next to hers and stayed there for a few minutes coming our again.

“Are you…. what were you looking for?” Meg asked hesitantly.

“My neighbor’s daughter,” she said slowly. “She’s not there. But her wife was, crying on the floor.”

“Oh my god. I’m so… so sorry,” Meg breathed, pressing a fist to her mouth.

Sam was half-listening to the conversation as he flipped through his notebook. I…I don't get it. What happened? This doesn't….it doesn't make sense… He hated not knowing stuff. It made him feel pitiful.

Reyna ran down the street, yelling out for anyone.
"Please someone?! anyone?!" She started crying.

Name: Rosanna "Rosie" Bailey/ (superhero) Mirage (no relation whatsoever to the Incredibles character)
Age: 19

Gender: Female
Appearance: Caramel skin, amber eyes, chestnut blonde hair with white tips. Typically wears plaid, jeans and converse shoes (mostly orange)
Personality: It depends on the situation: typically she's slightly nervous, fidgety, doesn't trust people; when Mirage she's confident, slightly flirty, makes jokes but is also set on the task; but it depends on her surroundings
Background: She was born with the power to create illusions. She has a flute to help her concentrate the form of what he's imagining otherwise it could go wrong. She doesn't trust herself without it but doesn't know that she's been using it enough to be able to control them without it.

Meg turned around to see a vague form of a girl running towards them in the distance. She froze. “Do you see that? Or am I going crazy?”

Reyna had spotted a group of people and was running towards them.

“I see it too. It looks like a silhouette of a girl..” he trailed.

“Okay… not hallucinating yet,” Meg muttered, taking a step towards the growing silhouette.

“It’s another person,” she said, waving.

Sam still wasn't paying attention. "Mhm, right…" He mumbled.
