(Yeah.)
"Someday all of that will be over, I promise." Darren looked at her with the most positive look in his eyes, like he had never believed anything more in his life.
"True, but if you refused, then your mother's faith does not carry over to you. You are old enough to make your own decisions."
"I guess that's true…"
Lillian smiled softly and nodded. It's good to know someone cares.
(Should we wait until tomorrow to continue or do we want to now? I don't have to leave yet.)
(We can go on now.)
(okay!)
(Next day then???)
(Yep!)
(How shall we start this?)
Paige woke up early today. She had to let out her feelings. She put on a baggy top and running shorts and unplugged her phone. She drank a glass of water and ate a granola bar before plugging in her earbuds and running.
Darren, for once, wasn't rushing to get to school. He was actually early which never happened. He sat outside on a bench enjoying the cool morning breeze and waiting for people to get to school.
Lillian walked up to the school building. She was slightly panting from having to run part of the way, but at least she wasn't late. She silently applauded herself for not being late, and then adjusted her hair to cover the black eye she had gotten last night.
Lloyd underneath the large willow tree in the front courtyard of the school, reading a book. His wings had been concealed again, and he seemed unable to hear anything around him.
Darren saw Lillian arrive at school and hopped up excitedly to go say hello. He was perky; having a very good morning. "Good Morning!" Darren had a smile bigger than his face could fit.
Lillian looked up and smiled. Darren was already here, "Good morning!"
Darren's smile faultered a little when he saw Lillian's eye… "What happened?!?"
Lillian covered it back up, "Take a guess."
"They did this to you?" Darren's face had lost it's 'good morning' smile, now rage was painted across it as he raised his hand and brushed away Lillian's hair from her eye.
Lillian rolled her eyes. Her face growing a bit red, "No, the neighbors did. Of course it was them!"
"How- what happened?" Darren held her face in his hand
Lillian got quiet, "They want me to quit theater. I said no, and then my mom got angry and did this to me."
"You shouldn't go back there!" The concern on Darren's face only grew.
(Lloyd breathed by the tree and read his book like the nerd he is)

(That's sound like me irl)
(That is me irl.)
"Where else am I suppose to go?" Lillian asked. Her eyes were sad, she had already accepted this fate long ago.
Paige returned home, washed her face, changed clothes, and drove to school. She walked into first period. Alek wasn't here yet, but Darren and Lillian were. She went over to say hello but saw Darren's expression. Her eyes, in turn, flickered to Lillian. "Oh my gosh, what happened?" Paige asked.
"You can stay with me or we can figure something else out, but I can't let you go back to them."
