He blinks, “Um. . .”

"If you can't that's cool, you can ride me. Or you can ride me if you can fly. Just wanna know your preference."

Rizin laughs softly, “I can. . . Sorta fly.”

"Sorta?"

Rizin stays silent, looking back at his phone.

"Sorry, did I say something wrong? Anyways, do you wanna ride me or go on your own?"

“I-I’ll go on my own. . .”

"Ok. Let's go!" Ronan looks at Rizin, trying to read his face.

Rizin keeps his face blank, standing up and his wings appear.

(The bottoms are kinda shredded and there are som holes in them. But he can fly safely.)

“Just follow me!” Ronan says, excited to finally be going home. He doesn’t question Rizin’s wings.

Rizin nods, moving forward.

Ronan climbs out onto the roof and transforms into a dragon. Then, finally, he flies.

Rizin follows him, silent.

Ronan saw the moon in the distance. Home. He looked back at Rizin, and found himself staring at those wings. What happened to him? Ronan thought.

Rizin was quiet, staring ahead and seeming to be in his own world.

Ronan flew faster, unintentionally leaving Rizin behind. He was almost home.

Rizin blinks and then speeds up, easily gliding through the air.

(We’re not gonna talk about all the rules of physics that are getting broken right now. . .)

Ronan reaches the atmosphere and dives through, tucking his wings in.

Rizin stops for a moment, hovering and then follows Ronan.

Ronan lands on the surface of the moon, then transforms back into a human. He glances up, looking for Rizin.

Rizin lands silently beside him, his wings vanishing, though his tail stays behind, lashing side to side.

"Hey," Ronan says. "How was your flight?"

“It was fine.” He smiles slightly.

"Come on. Let's go to the main palace."
(rizin is about to find out that ronan is actually royalty heehee)

Rizin follows, quiet.

Ronan leads the way through the palace with familiarity. "Almost there," he says to Rizin.

Rizin nods slightly.
