Asura blinked, shifting a little bit. "No, it won't be a problem. What happened to me was a very personal thing, it had nothing to do with him."
Asura blinked, shifting a little bit. "No, it won't be a problem. What happened to me was a very personal thing, it had nothing to do with him."
"Good." Mike didn't speak for a moment, thinking. "This is off-topic, but I'm curious. Ever heard of a god named Damascus? He's the one currently employing me for a bit of debt-collection."
Asura's brow furrowed in concentration. "Damascus? I think… he's either the god of physics, or dimensions. I can't remember which one."
"Huh. From what I saw, he's a character. Never have I felt more like I was making a deal with the devil than when I was doing business with him. Which reminds me, the day's getting old. I should probably get back to my assignment. You don't happen to know about a dangerous female scientist named Rin living here, do you?"
(I completely ran out of ways to stall, sorry)
(all good)
"No, I don't know her, but I'm sure I can help you get the information you need." He got up, then frowned. "Be careful. Working with Damascus is… tricky. He can be very manipulative and demanding, and won't hesitate to kill you if you don't follow through. He might even kill you just for the hell of it. You never know with him."
(All right)
"Good to know. I'll watch my back." Mike stood too, reaching for his wallet to pay for the coffee. "Ah, shoot, I have no idea what currency these people use."
(I have to go for a while, actually, be back in a bit)
"I'll take care of it," he said, pulling out some money and paying for him
(see you soon then lol)
"Thanks. I'll pay you back as soon as I get a chance. Where are you headed next?"
"No need. And I'm not sure. I don't really have much of a purpose other than regulating my demons in this universe, and people often do that job for me. So I just wander around, I guess."
"Hmm. Well, have fun with that. I'll need a way to get in contact with you, though, for later." Mike looked at Asura expectantly.
"I don't really have a way that you can instantly contact me, but I do have demons that can direct you to me. My servant has a cell phone, so if you need me, you'll either need to call him or look for another demon from my universe, which is called 'Chasm', by the way." Asura waved his hand, and a slip of paper materialized. He handed it to Mike.
"Thanks. I guess that's all, then. See you when I see you." Mike pocketed the paper and set off down the street.
(I guess now we finally need to figure out what's next. Do you think @shinsleepy's ever coming back? Is there a way you can ask them? Or should we make other plans?)
(They should be at school tomorrow, so I'll ask them then)
(all right, sounds good. Lemme know what the verdict is :) )
(twiddles thumbs, whistles a tune)
(I tried to get them to get back on the RP but they're being a butt and can't remember to get back on)
(Ok. Think we should carry on without them, or…..?)
(I'll ask them one more time tomorrow, but we might have to move on lol)
(Ok XD)
(yeah, I don't think they're coming back, sorry)
(Okay. Do you still want to keep going without them, or are we done? I'm good either way)
(well it depends on whether you still want to roleplay or not)
(Kinda, but I don't want to drag you along if you're not into it.)
(I kinda want to roleplay too lol. What would you want to do for the plot though?)
(Hm….idk, your character is a god who's used to getting what he wants, right? Maybe he decided, screw this other job, I want Mike to help me out now
Or we could have something else happen that just throws them back together somehow)
(I think Asura getting impatient would be pretty accurate for my character. Maybe after a week he decides to go find him)
(Sounds good. If it's a week, maybe Mike's back on Earth by now)
(Gotta go to bed soon though, so I'll return tomorrow to figure this out)
(I'm back)
(Hi, sorry I've been super busy this week and haven't had the chance to get on)
