Orion avoids the man's searching gaze, statue-like in his stillness. Wind swirling softly around his feet, kicking up dust and leaves, ruffling the edges on his cloak.

The gaze looks through him.

It sees nothing

@Painted-Iris group

Pulling his hood down further to shadow his face, Orion keeps half a step behind Lata and Lucy, and only three behind Sam. Close enough to protect them if things should go badly. He would keep watch over his family. He would not lose them. Never. Shoulders relaxed, he stops with everyone else, standing perfectly still, unnervingly so. Never being one for extravagance, Orion doesn't take much note of the golden gates.

(back at the cottage)

Door open, the visitor takes wary steps inside, seeing the knocked over plates and opened fridge. Growing panicked when they scent the metallic pang of blood. Glancing over everything to find out what had happened, and where his beloved Ori had gone. Calixto will find him. He will.

(is this okay Iris? caus this ship is cute)

(Ca1, yes. This is more than okay)
Cal looks worriedly around the garden outside the small cottage, searching for any lead or for even a sign of struggle. Nothing. The Mirro curses as a wave of hopelessness washes over him. There weren't even signs of the new companions Ori had been hosting lately. All he knew of was that the two witches were unable or refused to cast any spell of harm over any of them. That left… Samandriel. Running back inside quickly, china crushing underneath his boots, he begins to search his lover's expansive collection of magical novels. There were only few on other realms however, obvious due to their rarity and lack of interest. They were most often seen as myths. Finally, the tall man pauses on a page.
MOLHAVEN.
Not suited for mortals to travel to, this realm was created by the god of gods, Samandriel.
At this point, he stopped reading. "Damn that bastard," he muttered. Forcing himself to continue, he managed to find some way to open a gateway into said realm. Not possible for a mortal, but possible for those surpassing usual magic power.
Cal began to chant the phrase written.
(Up to you Octane if you want it to work or not mwahaha)

Glancing up at the man supposedly named Osiris, she hardened her stare in return to his own. To him she was probably assumed as the weakest threat possible. And the man wouldn't be wrong per say, but it was angering the small girl with how badly she and the others were being looked down upon. Thinking about it, she was starting to sound a bit arrogant in her mind. Was it Molhaven that affected people this way? No wonder Sam was like this upon his initial arrival.

@Painted-Iris group

(also oof I just realised I make all my gays possessive oops. Well Malachi isn't but he just gets upset and thinks he isn't good enough were a guy to break up with him)

@Painted-Iris group

(That's kinda the point, mortals aren't gonna get shit perfect so that's what I did lol
plus I'm not as familiar with your universe so there's that too lmao)

@Painted-Iris group

(tempted to make Cal argue with Sam like: yOU LIED AND CALLED YOURSELF A SUMMONED? tHIS BOOK SAYS OTHERWISE
Sam: Let me see that. flips through and once he reads the first sentence he starts cackling
Hell, I wish I made this place! Then it probably would have turned out greater than it is. I'm just the guardian of this realm.
Cal: Still makes you a liar and a kidnapper
Sam: They forced me to take them actually
Cal: Bullshit
Orion: While it's great to see you, it's true. We all wished to come.
Cal: dO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW FUCKING WORRIED I WAS?)

Orion: Sorry my darling mate, and they still are unaware of the little kick-ass surprise I have in store. Please don't tell them, they would chew me out.
Cal: YOU CAME TO THIS NIGHTMARE REALM WITHOUT TELLING THEM? WHAT THE FUCK ORI?! YOU COULD HAVE BEEN HURT!! OR KILLED!!

(yeah, sorry, I like writing long responses in this rp so I usually like to wait until I have more time to respond)

"C'mon, Ozzy, lighten up. We've got visitors and you're being a prick," Bastian complained with a mock pout. "Ozzy" simply growled and pushed him away by his face before dusting himself off.

"Excuse him, he's rather…rowdy around visitors. My name is Osiris, and I have been implored to guide you to the gathering hall," the man said

@Painted-Iris group

Lata allowed her facial expression to relax and seem less irritated. Really, if this meant going home soon, she'd follow along. The whole journey thus far seemed slightly off seeing how short of a trip it was to the dimension compared to getting back home. In complete honesty, a cup of tea by the fire place in the cottage sounded great. Perhaps even a quick shower before hand as well. It was kind of fortunate that her feet weren't aching in the slightly flat soled boots she usually wore. They were worn down slightly both in and out, but trustworthy.

@Ca1iCa1--Is--Tired

Eyeing the man warily, Orion follows close behind the group, footsteps silent and only the swish of his cloak betraying his movement. In his opinion, the entrance hall was rather gaudy, and that was without taking in all of the gold plated, well, everything. More people than expected greet them in the hall, and Orion comes up behind Lata, pulling his hood further down over his eyes.

—Back at the cottage—

Orion had left a hastily scribbled note on the table, under his favorite teapot.

My love,
It seems that I must go back to a nightmarish dimension, also known as Molhaven. I will most likely not be home for dinner, there are extra cookies in the fridge, and plenty of fruit on the table.
Your Feline
Ori

This would have been helpful. If only Cal had found it.

@Painted-Iris group

Suddenly feeling a closer presence at her back, Lata quickly cast a glance over her shoulder to notice Orion once again. Something about the way he was acting reminded her to keep up her guard as to not put herself in harm's way in the strange realm.

Despite if he had read the note or not, the place his beloved was currently traveling in was dangerous. Due to his protective instincts, it wasn't any help knowing that Orion could possibly be in good- or at least decent company. The strange glow from the opening to Molhaven filled the small cottage, whipping around papers not held down and causing a few lights to flicker. Everything had to be okay. It had to.
What would Cal do without his Orion…?
He was that freedom the man had never had the chance of having before.
Without that loving feeling, what was the point of leaving his former life?
Exhaling, he forced himself through the cut between worlds before it closed behind him. For an odd reason, he appeared in some sort of forest outside of these odd and extravagant gates.
"I'm coming, Ori…"

@Ca1iCa1--Is--Tired

Tensing suddenly, Orion is glad for the cloak that hides his surprise. Taking a deep breath, he finds the spot inside himself where the woods lie, and reaches out towards them. Not having used this particular ability for quite some time, it takes a moment to find his voice, but with Cal being his Mate it was easier than if he wasn't.

Cal? Cal, it is me. Can you hear me? If you can, you need to leave the woods. They will strip you of your sanity and are aways watching, waiting for weakness. I am in the City of Gold. Be safe, my love.

Telepathic skills rather rusty, in this case the ambient magic in Molhaven, the magic that saturates the very air and ground itself is helpful. Drawing on the ley lines, he leaves the connection open, hoping that Cal had gotten his message. Stupid Calixto coming to a nightmare realm just to find me. In a cursed woods nonetheless.

@Painted-Iris group

Calixto nearly fell over at the sudden voice in his head. It was cutting out as a phone call with poor connection might.
Cal? … hear me? Leave… woods. … sanity… always watching… weakness. I… City of Gold… love.
Hearing the sound of his mate in his head was insane as it was, but being the worried person he was, he allowed his feet to carry him towards the gates. The Golden Gates.
It was odd as they were believed to be in Heaven. Chuckling darkly to himself, the tall man paused before them.
He wasn't allowed through. Unsure if the telepathic ability would work between them, he attempted to force his thoughts through the open link.
I can't get in. I hope you understand how upset I am at the moment.
