"Yes! Who else would be in charge of a host of angels that are sent out to fight against… well, I don't remember what we were fighting. It was long ago, so it could have been humans or demons, but that's not important."
"Yes! Who else would be in charge of a host of angels that are sent out to fight against… well, I don't remember what we were fighting. It was long ago, so it could have been humans or demons, but that's not important."
"Depends on what?" Darren said finally calming down but still confused.
"How old are you?" Darren stood walking slowly towards Lloyd.
"Depends on what you believe." Stormy said.
"What I believe? I believe that my mom died when I was 8 and if there was a god he wouldn't have let that happen." Darren snapped. He never told people about his mom.
"Physically and mentally, about 15. I don't remember exactly how old I actually am though; most angels just don't keep track. Technically, they're immortal, but we can be stabbed or something and still be killed. Although, I believe it's roughly five human years to one angel years, so that makes me approximately… um, 75?"
"Oh i'm sorry…." Stormy said, looking down at his feet.
"What I believe? I believe that my mom died when I was 8 and if there was a god he wouldn't have let that happen." Darren snapped. He never told people about his mom.
"God is just, and many people think he is not good because he allows things like that. Humans sinned when they were created, and they knew the punishment was death. There is redemption for those who believe in Him and his Son, the Christ, but those who don't are punished by an eternity away from Him."
Darren turned to Lloyd. "I'm not upset man, just confused. I don't understand what you are and I need time to wrap my head around it. And Stormy, don't be sorry that's why I don't tell people about my mom. I don't need pity from anyone…"
"If you're an angel… why aren't you in heaven or something?" Darren questioned Lloyd quietly.
"Ok…"
"I told you guys earlier, I got captured in battle, presumed dead, and I can't go back. Those were the conditions, and I had no choice in them. I'm stuck here."
"Stuck in high school?" Darren scoffed. "That sucks man."
"Why do you even go? To school I mean?"
Stormy laughed a little, feeling more comfortable.
"Because, I still want an education. I… I-I want to be normal. If I'm going to be stuck on earth, I might as well try to make the best of it. T-To be a normal teenager, make friends, have… have… fun. I never told anyone I was an angel because I knew it would be a problem. There would b-be questions, and problems, a-and it's just not worth it." There were tears in Lloyd's eyes at this point, and his wings hung limply at his back.
(he's not in the hospital anymore)
"Hey it's ok man." Stormy said and got up to hug him.
"I'm really sorry man. I didn't mean to yell I was just surprised and confused. It's a lot to take in all at once…" Darren looked away and felt guilty for being the only one to react negatively to the new information.
(there are only three of us lol)
(he was still the only one… lol)
(7:06 for me.)
Lillian walked up and put a hand on his shoulder, "Hey it's okay. We all react differently in certain situations."
"It's not your fault… I-I should have tried to find some better way, or just be stronger…" Lloyd couldn't meet their eyes, trying to brush away his tears. "I always hated combat, I still do… and Alek just reminded me of that… that's why I couldn't attack him."
(Were in the auditorium right?)
(Yes)
"Right…"
Darren stood up almost the moment he hit the chair. "I'll be right back, I got to uh- I-Um… I'll be right back…"
"Hey! Darren you okay?" Stormy yelled.
(Where's he going wot)
(where you goin??)
