(Zoe shall just do nothing because I don't know what to do.)
Amethyst's team took some hard hits, but they had definitely managed to distract the soldiers from Odin's team. They wouldn't be able to tell who was winning this battle for a while, though, so the young leader just hoped that her warriors were, and not the king's.
A bullet nearly pierced her shoulder, but she ducked out of the way just in time. Unfortunately, she leaned right into the path of another bullet, which went into her left shoulder.
As if I wasn't injured enough already! she thought bitterly.
Ian was already ordering nurses around as injured soldeirs where carried insode
Zoe was blasting through the enemy ranks with her machine gun. Stupid, idiot, moran. Angry thoughts went through her head as each bullet hit their target.
Amethyst backed out of the line slowly, making sure that someone filled her empty spot. She had to get to the medical area to get the bullet out of her shoulder and get it wrapped up so that she could get back to the warriors as soon as possible.
Once she reached the tent, she stepped inside, holding her other hand against her bleeding shoulder in an attempt to at least slow the loss of blood.
"There's a bullet in my shoulder and I need to get back out there," she stated.
Ian rushes to Amethyst, "I got ya. Come on. This way." He takes her upper arm and guides her over to a cart.
Amethyst let out a heavy breath as Ian led her over.
"Okay, can you go as quickly as possible? I need to get back out there as soon as I can," she said, tapping her foot in nervous impatience.
She just needed to make sure everything was still going well. No one could get hurt, or killed, while she was gone.
Kasey was hiding in the tech wing. No one was getting to her children, at least no intruders.
"Dont rush me." He has a British accent (Kudos to those who get the reference). He picks up a scalpel and rips her shirt (dont take that the wrong way) at the shoulder and presses the scalpel to the wound
"I'm not trying to rush you," Amethyst says through gritted teeth. "I just need to get back out there."
Ian nods, concentrating hard. He sticks out his tongue as he digs the scalpel in the wound.
Amethyst squeezes her eyes shut tightly and bites down hard on her lip. This is what happens when you don't have time to numb the area, you get a lot of pain.
"Sorry…" Ian says, trying to dig the bullet out
"It's fine," Amethyst replied, her voice sounding a bit strangled. "Just focus on what you're doing."
Ian nods and a second later the bullet popped out into his hand, "Alright.. Almost done."
(Gah, paperwork…)
Amethyst let out a hiss of pain when the bullet came out and simply nodded in acknowledgment of Ian's words.
(Oh yeah…)
He puts the scalpel and the bullet on the tray then picks up the needle with thread
Peeking through her eyelashes, Amethyst saw the needle.
This is going to hurt, she thought, closing her eyes again and already mentally preparing herself for it.
"Alright. Deep breath." Ian commands as he starts stitching the wound
Amethyst did as Ian said, holding as still as possible.
I'm really glad Akyra isn't here right now. This would be way too much for her.
Ian stitches the wound then wraps it, "Alright. You ok." He stands then rushes toward another injured without another word
Amethyst opened her eyes when Ian finished, and she looked over at her shoulder. Satisfied with it, she nodded.
"Thanks," she called, making her way out of the tent and back to the warriors.
Ian doesnt looks up but he heard her thanks
(All right, I think we should wait for other people for a bit, now. Lol. We've done quite a bit.)
(Yeah k)
(Mornin')
The battle has been going on for about twenty minutes, give or take. Soldiers on both sides had fallen, though, to Akyra's relief, mostly the King's soldiers. Her hands were again shaking in anticipation.
She pulled out her transmitter. "Are you ready for me, Amethyst?"
(Went out to lunch out-of-the-blue, but I'm back now.)
Amethyst was still working her way toward the front lines when she heard Akyra transmitting to her.
"Yes. Go for it," she said, her voice still a little rough from her pain.
"Alrighty"
From her position on the roof, Akyra had a perfect view of the battle, and the perfect location to work from.
She held her hands out in front of her and breathed deeply.
And so it began.
A group of about eight of the King's soldiers on the ground to her left began screaming. All of them were experiencing the worst fear of their lives. Their hearts were beating uncontrollably fast and their breathing was rapid and uneven. They began to shake and writhe, some pounding their heads on the ground, seeking escape from their own minds.
About thirty seconds passed before all of them fell to the ground.
Scared to death, a saying had never been so literal, and Akyra didn't know whether to be disgusted or proud.
Odin watched as some of the soldiers collapsed around him. What the… He took the opportunity to hit a nearby soldier with the butt of his gun, before shooting at ones further away.
