Aphrodite sighs, “I thought I told you to find yourself a room…”

Nishida sighs.

"No. You didn't. I've been here since I finished cleaning yesterday." she says quietly.

Aphrodite sighs, “Well…take any room you’d like…thats away from mine.”

"I'll stay here, thanks." Nishida replies quietly.

Aphrodite huffs, going silent again.

True to her word, Nishida stays exactly where she is.

Aphrodite lasted until the middle of the night, 2 am…this was when the pain grew too severe. She whimpers softly as she curls into herself, clutching her stomach.

Nishida hears the whimper and decides thats enough of this waiting around.

She stands up and kicks the door open, picking Aphrodite up gently.

"You will eat." she commands, leaving no room for argument.

Aphrodite yelps, thrashing and kicking at her. “PUT ME DOWN!”

Nishida growls, loudly, like a wolf.

"Shut up." she snaps. "And eat some god damn food you stubborn, witless mule."

She snarls and manages to wiggle out of Nishida’s arms. She rushes back to her room, a panicked look in her eyes.

Nishida ctaches Aphrodite by her shoulders, whirling her around and grabbing her other shoulder gently but firmly.

"Look at me. As long as you decide to stay locked up in your room, I will stay right in front of that door and not move an inch. Not to shower, not to use the bathroom, not to stretch, not to eat. Do you want that?" she asks bluntly.

Aphrodite instinctively throws a punch, “If you’re going to be like that then get out of my house!” She struggles against Nishida’s grip.

Nishida lets the blow connect, feeling her nose pop and blood start to run down her face.

"I am trying to keep you alive, you insufferablely stubborn woman. I have lost too many people this way, I'm not letting it happen to you too." she growls.

She snarls, “WHY DO YOU CARE?! GET OUT!” Her adrenaline became too much to handle. She was in fight or flight at the moment, and her mind and body was choosing fight.

"I DON'T KNOW WHY I CARE ABOUT YOU, BUT IF I WAS HALF THE WOMAN I USED TO BE I'D KNOCK YOU OUT AND FORCE FEED YOU. Being in a fucking cave for more than 300 years really opens your eyes to the larger things in life, and meeting a woman who is purposefully trying to starve herself to death to spite someone who's just trying to HELP HER and trying to save her ass is one of those bigger things." Nishida half-screams in response.

Aphrodite slaps her, her eyes gleaming with fear. It almost seemed like rage, if it weren’t for the tears in her eyes. She always hated yelling…even when she herself did it.

Apparently Zi took notice of Aphrodite’s panic attack and walks up to her, meowing loudly in attempt to distract her.

Nishida, again, lets the blow connect.

"Hate me, fear me, wish me dead - I don't care what you do, as long as you eat something I'll be perfectly happy to leave you alone, even ignore you, if that's what you want. But until you eat something I willcontinue to be like this." she says quietly.

She huffs and tries to get away from Nishida. Okay…now she was in flight mode. All she wanted to do was be out of this situation. She started envisioning her parents instead of Nishida. She whimpers softly, staring at her in fear.

Nishida shakes her head and lets Aphrodite go.

"Fine. . . have it your way, Aphrodite. I'll leave." she says softly. "Kill yourself because you refuse to eat or don't. . . either way it isn't my business, is it."

She disappears out the door in a flash, leaving the other woman by herself.

Aphrodite shudders, her whole body shaking. She backs up into a wall and sits down, hiding her face in her knees and sobbing. Zi meows loudly at her, then runs after Nishida.

It took her a while, but she eventually fell asleep.

True to her word, Nishida is gone. She doesn't grab her sword. She was done with that life.

She just starts walking in a direction.

Zi follows her, meowing loudly. He huffs and jumps out in front of her, meowing again.

Nishida looks down at Zi and sighs.

"She doesn't want my help, alright? What am I supposed to do? I'm done with violence." she asks the cat, kneeling in front of him.

He paws at her foot, meowing. He seemed to be trying to get her to come back.

Nishida sighs.

"Fine. . . you're just as stubborn as your owner, you know that?" she asks Zi as she picks the cat up, heading back to the house.

Zi purrs softly, nuzzling into Nishida’s arms. He meows softly at her, his tail slowly swaying.

Nishida laughs quietly.

"And yet you've managed to completely wrap me around one of those tiny little feets, haven't you?" she asks.

He purrs louder in agreement, gently bumping his head into her hand.

Nishida chuckles, stroking the cat.

She steps back into the house to find Aphrodite asleep.

She shakes her head slightly, setting the cat down and gently lifting the smaller woman, being sure not to shake her too much as she places her back in her room.

After she gets Aphrodite under her blankets, she pulls a chair to the side of the bed and sits down in it.
