Blade blinks. "I have no idea what your talking about. I guess technically we could be in a multiverse, but I come from somewhere without magic, so…"
(chronologically confused - absolutely LOVE that term! meanwhile my boy Cole's abt to have a break- )
(Heh Rayla is one of my most chronologically confused characters; there's so many of her that I lost track ;-; [weird fucky time shit and all that jazz ;-;])
(Fair enough)
"Is- there could be a universe where I could be….good?" Cole says the last word with a mix of emotions. He doesn't know what to think now.
Rayla looks at Blade and grins. "Later. It's a very long story involving time travel, a lot of murder and a couple of gods of the Underworld."
She looks over at Cole and tilts her head. "Well, technically speaking, yes. Statistically speaking there is another timeline pretty much exactly like this one except the scorch marks are in different places, just as an example. SO theoretically, I could find any lost loved ones from any reality close enough to this one and alter the one I took them from so that they were dead in that one but not this one. But yeah, there's probably a world where you're 'good.'"
Blade blinks in confusion. "That destroyed 99% of my brain cells."
"So-so I could be good somewhere else?" Cole looks up and everyone can see his face now; tears trail down his cheeks while his mouth's twisted in a grimace. "That Cole better hope I never meet him then."
Rayla looks bemused. "Don't worry, the statistic probability of you phasing through this reality and into that one are low. Though I suppose that the probability isn't zero."
She looks over at Blade. "Eh, I never had braincells for this knowldge to destroy."
"Fair," Blade said. "I have no clue about anything magic, so I'm kinda just here right now. Actually, I don't even know how Im here."
"Just saying." Cole comes back and pets Cory again, discreetly wiping away tears. "I-I'm still going to explore in a couple minutes-" His stomach interrupts. "-After I eat."
"Oh, yeah. Food." she grins. She reaches a hand to the side, where it seems to disappear through the air, and comes back out with a rotisserie chicken.
"That good?" she asks, holding it out to Cole.
Blade tilts her head. "Where did Danica run off to? She had food too."
Rayla shrugs. "She may have either fallen into the Eyeless Void or into another reality."
"Stop talking about realities or I might have to slap you," Blade says, rolling her eyes.
"Hey! I'm just being truthful!" Rayla giggles.
"Uh, yeah." Cole takes the rotisserie chicken and sets it to the side. Like magic, a plate, cutlery, and cup appear. "Magic. Cool." Cole's just….not sure how to take anything anymore. He sits at the table and starts cutting the chicken.
"Magic is overly complicated," Blade muttered, pressing herself back into the couch.
Cole hears but doesn't perceive. He's just eating his chicken with Chick-Fil-A sauce (that magic made appear) and trying to not explode with questions and tears.
"Not- really?" Rayla says, though she sounded unsure. She shrugs after a moment. "I can teach you fireball if you want."
(I never meant for Rayla to be this chaotic ;-; sorry lol)
"Wait, are there different types of magic?" Cole poses to Rayla.
(It's fine! I love chaotic characters - makes them more interesting) "What's fireball?" Blade asks, sighing.
"Oh most definitely. I have Spatial magic, Cosmic magic, Light magic and Dark magic." she explains cheerfully, the symbols for each popping up as she lists them. "But there's also Order, Chaos, Fire, Air, Earth and Water."
She looks over at Blade and raises an eyebrow.
"Well-" she starts, holding up her hand as a bright purple flame bursts into existance in her palm. "-fireball is just magical fire gathered into a ball and tossed at high speeds towards a target."
She turns away from Cole and Blade. "Like so."
The fireball is released and it punches straight through the wall, seeming to phase through things as it sped up instead of slowed down.
"Wow." Blade's voice is a mix of confusion, excitement, and awe. "But how are you going to 'teach us?'''
Cole just gapes and stares at Rayla with new fear, awe, and respect. "Wow."
"Oh. Um." she pauses, thinking.
Hmmmm. . . she hums, walking over to Blade. "Mind if I check something?"
Blade shifts uncomfortably. "Go ahead, I guess."
Rayla grins. "Alrighty."
She places a hand on Blade's forehead, and another on the woman's stomach. "Tell me when things start feeling uncomfortable or painful. I'm going to start pouring mana through you to determine your capacity."
She starts letting her own mana trickle through Blade, slowly. Well, slowly for her. Blade would start feeling a slight tingle very quickly after the process started.
Cole watches in intrigue and fear, scooting a little closer to the pair.
Blade stands there for a moment before a tingle came over her. It took a few minutes before a slight sting came over her, and a few seconds later she nearly choked as pain washed through her. Not as bad as some of the wound's she'd had, but definitely up there.
