"Why wouldn't they be proud of you marrying a former pop star?" Jess asks curiously.

"well its not exactly that its the fact id be getting married over music….and that fact that your a girl wouldn't bother my dad my mother would be furious"

Jess tilts her head.

"yeah i mean my mother wouldn't be invited to my wedding either way so it doesn't matter if she approves or not."

Jess chuckles.

"I suppose that makes sense."

She falls silent, contemplating who she could invite - if she did marry Nikki, that is.

She had no family, she didn't really have friends anymore. Not since her father had died, and she became distant.

Nikki was silent as well for a moment before shifting in her seat "so…..that got awkward"

Jess jumps slightly, then smiles awkwardly.

"Yeah, kinda my fault. . ." she replies.

" nah don't blame yourself we just gotta fine something to talk about again."

Jess nods, thinking.

"I got nothing." she eventually says, laughing slightly.

"Yeah… Me either"

Jess tilts her head.

"Fuck it, let's go to a mall or something."

"Why would we do that? "

"We have nothing better to do." Jess shrugs.

Jess stands up and stretches, earning her a scandalized look from the lady behind the counter who had served their drinks as her shirt rides up, revealing her stomach.

nikki watched the girl stand she did ass well she looked over at the barista and smirked laying down her tip and started to turn towards the door "you ready to go?"

Jess discreetly flashes the woman a rude phrase in sign language, then turns back to Nikki.

"Yup!"

nikki saw the sign and chuckled "alright lead the way then"

Jess chuckles, trotting outside, looking up and down the street before pausing, making a calculated assumption and turning left, going up the street.

Nikki follows after Jess with a smile taking long strides to get next to her "so do you know this place well? "

Jess pauses, then laughs.

"Absolutely not! I'm just remembering tiny details I spotted on my way here."

"Ah…….. We're going to get lost"

Jes shrugs.

"We have phones, remember?"

"There's this thing called service, ever heard of not having it? There's no bars in this area, even the locals don't have any sometimes"

"Well shit." Jess laughs.

"Yeah… I do my homework on areas I don't know anything about maybe you should too. " she said sticking her tongue out

Jess prods Nikki with an elbow.

"Oh be quiet. At least I'm fabulous." she teases.
