Nikki sighed and rolled over "can we maybe not do that? "

Jo sighs.

"I'm taking you out tonight, dear. I'll have to buy some date worthy clothes, but it'll be worth it."

Nikki glances over her shoulder and looks at Jo almost like she doesn't believe him
"Tonight? Where? "

Jo smiles mysteriously.

"You'll see." they reply, shifting Nikki so he can get up.

Nikki sat up with him and looked at him

"Just… Promise no one will die"

"I promise, love. Now, I'm going shopping. I'll meet you back here at 5:30." Jo nods, kicking on his shoes, grabbing his key, a gun and an older jacket of his - Nikki was still in his favorite one.

Nikki nods and stands up as Jo grabbed his things "okay I'll see you in two hours then.. Do I need to be ready by then? "

Jo grins.

"Just find a dark colored dress to wear. If you'd like you can wear makeup." they reply, taking a step back towards Nikki and kissing her on the cheek before opening the door and stepping out.

"See you later."

And with that, he's gone.

Nikki looks at him a little panicked she probably didn't have a dress and if she did it wasn't very 'fancy' she leaned into the kiss a little and waved slightly when he left "bye.. "

True to his word, Jo shows up two hours later in a black suit, his old clothes in a bag.

"I'm back!" he calls ou tas he steps inside.

Nikki freaks out and a crash can be heard from her room "um…..okay! one second I'm almost done! "

Jo raises a concerned eyebrow, walking over to Nikki's room and opening the door, leaning against the doorframe nonchalantly.

"Wow." he grins, giving Nikki a once-over.

Nikki screeched and threw her alarm clock at the door "no get out! I'm not ready! "

Jo dodges the alarm clock with a laugh and a twirl.

"Even half-ready you look hot, sweetheart."

She pushed him out of the door way and slammed the door shut she didn't end up coming outside for about 20 minutes but when she did she felt insecure

Jo is sitting on the couch, a beer in his hand.

When Nikki steps out, he smiles and makes a purring noise.

"Gorgeous." he says, finishing the beer and standing up fluidly.

His clothes were annoyingly unwrinkled.

"I didn't have much to work with…. I'm sorry" she stepped into the living room fumbling with her own hands as she looked away

Jo raises an eyebrow.

"Why are you apologizing, exactly? I see exactly zero things wrong right now."

"Because… I don't look good, I've never done this before-"

Jo stalks over to Nikki with a lazy grace, sliding behind her and sliding his arms around her hips.

"Sweetheart, if you say that in front of me again, I will make sure you're too busy gasping for air to say anything. . ." he whispers, his lips brushing her ear as he talks.

Nikki watches as Jo walks up to her she blushed a little as her hands gripped Jo's
Her blush turned scarlet red though as soon as he spoke those words "i- o-okay… "

Jo smiles slightly.

"Good, I'm glad you understand." he purrs, sliding a hand from around Nikki's waist and trailing a finger down her spine.

Nikki Shivers a little at the feeling trying to move away from Jo "don't we have to leave….?

Jo chuckles and steps away.

"Yeah. but when we get back, I'm getting that dress off of you."

He pulls out a pair of black silk gloves and tugs them on, then grabs the black top hat near the door, pulling it on as well.

"Shall we go, m'lady?" he asks, imitating a Victorian era gentleman.

She looked down at the floor trying not to show her blush she looked up once he stepped away and grabbed the gloves and hat and she covered her mouth

"Um… Why are you wearing that? " she asked laughing a little bit she walked up to him fixing his suit from the wrinkles

Jo raises an eyebrow.

"Because I look fucking hot and you know it."

"You look silly- but yes we can go now" she said giggling a little

Jo raises an eyebrow, sweeping off the hat and tossing it away.

"Well, now I just look like a yakuza boss." he shrugs, opening the door and gesturing for Nikki to step out.

"Oh you didn't have to throw it" she said laughing as she stepped out of the door…. She turned to look at him a small little smile on her face

"Well, I looked ridiculous!" Jo says, making it clear he wasn't actually offended or annoyed.

"By the way, I got us a chauffer and a limo." he grins, offering his arm to Nikki after he closes the door and locks it.
