"Okay.. " the three minutes goes by pretty fast and she ends up pulling up to the side walk and rests her feet on the ground "alright which place? "
"Okay.. " the three minutes goes by pretty fast and she ends up pulling up to the side walk and rests her feet on the ground "alright which place? "
Jo looks around, then gestures towards a building on the left, about three lots down.
"That building there."
"Should we walk or just bring the bike? " she looks behind her to she Jos face and his expression
"Let's bring the bike. It's a lot safer for it." Jo replies.
She nods her and kicks her feet off the ground heading over to where Jo told her to go once they got there she parked the bike and shut it off " okay you know the place so lead the way. "
Jo staggers off the bike, slowly stumbling his way towards the entrance.
They knock, leaning hapharzardly against the wall.
Nikki pulls her helmet off an slides off the bike following after Jo "hey… Are you okay? "
Jo nods slightly.
"For now, at least. My head just feels like it's being hit with a sledgehammer," they say softly as the door opens and a young-ish man looks out.
"My god, you look like shit." he says simply, looking at Jo.
The man turns to Nikki. "And I assume you're new here. Both of you, step right inside."
Jo nearly falls forward as he steps inside the hidden clinic.
"I could've grabbed you aspirin… " she ays hugging her stomach as the door open she looked up at the man who had some to Jo and takes a minute 'no wonder he doesn't have a medical license, he basically a damn child' she walked into the building behind Jo her arm reaching out as she grabbed the back of his shirt before he could fall
Jo snorts.
"It wouldn't have helped, babe. What I need is a nap, which I can get here. A long, 2 day nap."
"He graduated med school, dear. He has a license, he just never went to work in a hospital." he corrects.
"They wouldn't hire him anyway, he's a kid to young to be a doctor " she said with a playful smirk as she continued to grip Jo's shirt "we're not actually staying her for two days right? "
"He's actually in his late twenties, dear." Jo huffs.
"We are. Because I can barely stand."
"I was joking around… You know trying to lighten the situation a little bit., "
"Well, the doctor wasn't finding it funny." Jo sighs, indicating the doctor.
"Well sorry the whole I might be fucking pregnant thing is freaking me the fuck out Jo. " she growled
Jo stops walking and turns to face Nikki.
"I understand that, but please, stop taking it out on other people besides the one who actually slept with you."
Nikki let go of Jo's shirt and pinched the bridge of her nose, "whatever okay can we just do what needs to be done already? "
Jo falls forward.
"Well this isn't good." they say calmly as they hit the ground.
"Oh for fuck's sake! " she shook her head looking down at him and rolled her eyes picking him up off the ground by the back of his shirt
Jo sighs.
"Look, you woke me up this morning with your hysterics, can you at least cut me a little slack about the fact that I can barely stand, much less talk, without wanting to scream?"
"I woke up in a bed naked all fucking huddled up next to you and you were also naked so yes I fucking woke you up, sorry about that I'll be a better future k buddy next time. "
Jo sighs.
"You know what? Forget I even said anything. . ."
"Jo.. You don't fucking understand I can't have children… I wasn't just pregnant once okay every single fucking time I was… With child I Misscaried… I can't go through that again that can't happen again I won't be able to take it.. " Sher voice cracked a little as she looked at him she was fully aware that she just spilled her guts in front of some random guy but she didn't care
Jo reaches up a hand and gently caresses Nikki's cheek.
"I'm sorry, okay? Just. . . stop looking so defeated. . . it hurts."
Nikki moves her face away from his hand almost as if the interaction pained her "I can't help it Jo… I'm trying.. "
Jo lets his hand fall back down and looks away, tears pricking his eyes.
"I know, sweetheart. . . and you're doing good. . . but it just hurts, constantly seeing you look at what's in the past instead of your future, looking at people behind you instead of the person in front of you. . . it hurts, constantly seeing you unhappy. . ."
"It's hard to look in front of you when thepeople behind your cause so much trouble… " she whined
Jo feels a couple of tears fall down his face.
"I want to help with that. . . if they're dead, they can't cause much trouble, can they?"
"I just… I don't want to talk about this anymore okay… Please, I just want to find out.."
Jo nods, wiping his face and closing his eyes for a moment before getting his feet underneath him and half-standing, half-leaning against the nearby wall.
