Jo chuckles and shrugs.

"Okay. Get on some shoes, dear."

She gets up and walks over to the door picking up her boots and slipping them on "okay now we can go. "

Jo nods, then pauses.

They grab a pistol lying down and tuck it into a hidden pocket; a detterent for people who decided to fuck around.

They open the door and gesture for Nikki to step out first.

Nikki stepped outside well aware that he had a gun, and she didn't really care she just wanted to leave

Jo grins, then closes the door, looking out at the horizon for a moment before starting down the stairs.

She made her way down the stairs with Jo not talking much just keeping quiet

Jo turns at the bottom of the stairs, considering this angle on Nikki.

They shrug after a moment, smiling, before starting a leisurely jogging pace.

Nikki raised an eye brow at the way he looked at her and turned with him "so.. Are we walking? "

"It's close by aand we won't be in any state to be driving for the next couple of days. So, yes." Jo chuckles.

"Alright then.. I suppose that's reasonable- but did you say a couple days? "

"Remember Friday? We didn't even drink until we couldn't remember anything, and we ended up sleeping through two days." Jo snorts.

"Fucking hell, according to you we tried to do more that just sleep.. "

"On Friday night, yeah. And we can barely remember that. Even if we do anything, it'll be worse: neither of us will know for a good, long while. Or at least, until we wake up again."

"Jesus Christ, I'm not trying to get pregnant by your dumbass" she said joking a little bit and shaking her head

Jo snorts.

"And I have no intentions of sleeping with you tonight. Even if I did, I always carry protections of some flavor."

She laughed and shoved her hands in the pockets of her jacket as they made their way to the 'bar' "okay so.. What exactly are you carrying now? "

"Two things, actually. Birth control from when my wife was still alive, and a condom." Jo says casually.

"Birth control for any ladies I come across that want to get dick, and a condom for myself."

Nikki paused and looked at him "you had a wife? You never mentioned her before.. "

Jo shrugs.

"I never saw the need. She's been dead for a few years now, so. And she gave me her blessing to start dating when I felt ready, after she died."

"What was her name? "

"Angeluine." Jo murmurs.

"Oh…. That's a lovely name, was she nice? "

Jo nods.

"One of the kindest, most beautiful women I've ever met. She never cared that I was wanted in most of the countries in the world, as long as I never pushed her away or left her. And I never did. Because I wouldn't know what to do with myself if I did leave her. And when she died, well. . ."

They laugh darkly. "You know the genocides in South India a while ago?"

Nikki smiled warmly at the sound of him speaking so fondly of somebody she paused a the question taking a few minutes to answer "I um… I wasn't out yet.. I was still.. You know, I never heard about anything that happened outside. "

Jo freezes, then chuckles distractedly.

"Yeah, that's right. . . I keep forgetting I've only known you for a handful of years. But there was a series of killings in South India; a lot of knife wounds, a lot of people beaten to death."

They pause for a moment, slightly embarrassed. "That was me, actually."

Nikki nods and hugs her stomach " oh well I suppose… That sounds like you. "

Jo laughs softly.

"Well, see. . . it isn't. These were all in broad daylight, crowds of people around me. I tend to try to be a little discreet, you know."

"Why would you do that in public? "

"Grief. Anger. I had just lost my wife." Jo replies.
