"you want to know more?
"you want to know more?
"Um. . .yeah. You're kinda in my head, you know." Ray sighs, creating a couple of floor cushions for him and "J."
He sits down and waits.
"well I'm a dream eater if you must know."
"Well, that makes a lot of sense." Ray sighs.
He wasn't kidding, either.
"Are you like the Dream Eaters in some doujinshi, then, or are you entirely different?"
(Boop)
"doujinshi? What the hell is that?"
Ray pauses.
"Self-published manga, basically. But that's unimportant. What does being a Dream Eater mean?"
"Well I mean…. It's kind of all in the name."
Ray huffs but chuckles.
"Well, how do you eat dreams?"
"well…. I don't know, it's like a little orb and I just- eat it."
Ray pauses, then twirls some of his surroundings around his hand, forming a dream within a ball.
"Like this?"
"eh sorta but this one isn't real it's made up of what you think it is."
Ray smiles.
"Oh, no. This is an actual dream. I have a strange power: I can create and control anything in here. I'm God in here, 'J.'"
"it's a dream,"
"Yep. I can control what I dream, or make a dream." Ray says matter of factly.
"you can't just create a dream inside of a dream."
"This isn't technically a dream. I don't even know what it is," Ray says, gesturing to the void around them.
"Even if you're a Dream Eater, I doubt you know-" he starts to add, before the world shakes.
Ray sighs. "It's morning. We both need to wake up."
The fog and smoke disperse, "J" disappears, and Ray wakes up.
Zander sat up in his bed as he was getting ready to speak, he was fully rested which was new maybe it was the dream he had
Ray stands up and stretches, yawning.
He stumbles into his bathroom to brush his teeth and shower; he didn't usually eat breakfast.
Zander got up and walked over to his dresser and threw on a pair of jeans and swiped a shirt hanging off the top of the dresser but didn't put it on yet he just walked downstairs with it over his shoulder
Ray yawns again after he's done with his bullshit, then tumbles back into his room, tossing on work clothes - he worked at a construction site downtown - and jogging down the stairs.
Zander walked into the kitchen and saw his roommate (female) making breakfast he grabbed a cup of coffee and walked up behind her a d grabbed some food before sitting down to eat
He finished eating and put on his shoes, walked outside while slipping his shirt on and headed to work
Another hot day. . . Ray sighs, lifting up the bags of concrete at his feet and slings them across his shoulders, bringing them to the mixer.
That was really his only job: grab the concrete, mix it, and pour it. That's what he did all day.
It wasn't bad, by any means; he loved the sound of the concrete being mixed, and the burn of muscle as he lifted 5, 10, 15 bags of concrete mix at once.
