Sylvia grins.

"No, dis liddle fishie is completely harmless, isn't he," she says, cooing at the fish.

@Fraust

Finn hummed thoughtfully and looked over his shoulder at some fish behind him. Teagan yawned, quietly looking around. "We'll see what's your favorite at the end."

@Fraust

"We'll see. They have some pretty cool stuff here." Finn smiled softly and led the way forward into a room with a touch pool.

Sylvia shrugs, and then looks at the touching pool like a cat watching a cucumber roll across the floor: hair frizzing up like a cat's tail, eyes narrowed, like the very presence of the touching pool was offensive and scary to her.

@Fraust

Finn and Teagan watched her with a bewildered expression as the attendant explained in the background to use a two finger touch and be gentle with the animals in the pool. "You good? It's just a touch pool. You can touch the animals in there."

Sylvia glares harder at the pool, hair frizzing up more.

"I don't like it."

@Fraust

"Well, don't do it then. It's not mandatory." Finn shrugged and he and Teagan headed over to the touch pool.

Sylvia lingers in the background, her conflicting emotions of "wanting to stay with these fluffy bois because they're nice and they feed her" and "fear of the open water and the weird creatures in it" keeping her rocking back and forth.

The first emotion wins, and she quietly walks up behind the boys, watching, her hair frizzing out to the point where her head looked like a brown cottonball.

@Fraust

Finn looked over his shoulder at Sylvia and stepped to one side so she had space to join them at the touch pool if she wanted to. He and Teagan bantered about something, although they didn't already to be fighting for once, and Finn reached into the pool to gently touch a horseshoe crab slowly making its way across the bottom. Teagan seemed more interested in the starfish stuck on the side of the pool.

Sylvia merely watches, hair starting to look a bit less frizzy.

Eventually, she gathers her courage to reach a hand into the water, then immediately pulls it back out again.

@Fraust

Eventually, Finn and Teagan washed their hands and moved on from the touch pool to go to another room, which had some eels in it.

Sylvia looks around once the twins leave, and start shaking.

She was now heavily dependent on these two boys, and now that she didn't know where they'd gone - she hadn't exactly been paying the most attention, she was ussed to them just being around - she was scared. Again.

She curls up into a ball in front of the touching pool, gathering attention.

@Fraust

Finn and Teagan quickly noticed that Sylvia wasn't with them and turned back to the touch pool room, wondering why she hadn't followed them since she'd definitely seen them leave. They were right next to each other, after all. They spotted her on the floor and Finn quickly picked her up and moved her somewhere out of the way so she wouldn't be overwhelmed by the attention.
"What happened?" Finn asked. "Are you okay? Why didn't you follow us?"

Sylvia looks like she's crying.

"I didn't notice you two had left. . . I was too focused on trying to get over my fear of the things, and didn't realize I had been left alone. . . I got scared. . ." she mumbles shakily.

@Fraust

Finn sighed softly and the two of them sat on either side of Sylvia to comfort her. "Well, we aren't going to leave you. If you ever need us but can't see us, try whistling, as high a pitch as you can manage. We have really good hearing, especially for high pitched sounds, so we can come find your."

Sylvia looks at Finn then Teagan, and nods.

"Okay. . ." she whispers, leaning against Finn.

@Fraust

"Are you feeling any better?" Finn asked, glancing around. At least everyone seemed to be ignoring them now.

Deleted user

"No. . . I want to go home now. . ." Sylvia whispers, closing her eyes.

@Fraust

"Alright, we can go home then. We can always come back another day if you want to try again." Finn and Teagan stood up, and Finn picked up Sylvia to carry her out of the aquarium.

Sylvia nods, wrapping her arms around Finn's neck to keep herself from falling.

"Maybe one day. . ." she says softly, before closing her eyes and falling asleep.

@Fraust

Finn sighed softly and they left the aquarium. Since they'd flown here with Sylvia and she was now asleep, they'd have to find another way home. Teagan flagged down a taxi and they made their way home that way.

Sylvia doesn't wake up the entire ride, not even when she was brought into the apartment.

@Fraust

Finn carried Sylvia inside and laid her on Teagan's bed, then the both of them headed to the living room to watch TV.

Hours later, Sylvia wakes up.

She slips out of bed, and pads into the living room, sitting down on the floor in front of the couch.

@Fraust

Finn and Teagan looked up when they heard Sylvia come into the room. "Hey. Are you feeling any better?" Finn asked.
