"Maybe. But who knows?"

"Now.. I told you why I talked about Angels, why do you? "

"Oh, that's simple. I've met one." Jaciel says simply.

"Your joking I don't believe that for a second. "

"I don't lie about things like that. Never have, never will." Jaciel says softly, looking Ala directly in the eye.

"What's the name of the angel you met then hm?"

"His name was Raziel. And he. . . well, I haven't seen him in a bit." Jaciel says softly.

"Wait hang on what? When did you see him?? "

"March of '89, on a mountain in Europe."

"I call bullshit. "

Jaciel shrugs.

"Everyone here has some connection with demons and angels, in some way. Either they've met one, or have otherwise known someone who met one."

"How? "

"You know the world is strange. You believe in demons and angels. Why not believe this?"

"Because… Angels don't converse with humans. "

"You know, I can prove you wrong." she says.

The other customers know what's coming and start talking to one another. They'd all seen it before, but getting another chance. . . that was a rarity.

Jaciel's wings unfurl, the bismuth toned colors lighting the room and drowning out the other lights.

Ala stared at jaciel with wide eyes as she backed up in her seat

Jaciel folds her wings again.

"I told you the world is strange. Am I more believable now?"

Ala shot out of her seat still looking at jaciel as she backed up slowly

Jaciel watches Ala carefully.

"Zoe. Please stay. Let me explain what's going on." she says softly.

"What the fuck are you? "

Jaciel pauses.

"What do my name and wings tell you I am?"

"No that's not possible. "

"Zoe, what more proof do you need? A message from Michael, Gabriel or God Himself? Should I show you Heaven itself, or the heavenly fires of His infinite legion? Would you like to meet Leviathan, Baal or Lucifer himself? How about Lilith?"

Ala stopped in her tracks staring at jaciel "why.. Why am I here? "

Jaciel looks confused.

"In a cosmic sense, or why are you talking to a girl with wings in a barbecue place?"

"Yeah…going to go with that second one. "

Jaciel chuckles.

"That's simple. We were on a. . . date, I guess. And then shit got weird."
