Kiibo turned on his heater and slowly fell asleep

Kokichi smiled a bit more when Kiibo turned his heater on, as it made him comfortable. He slept peacefully for the next few hours, and when he woke up, he seemed happy to have Kiibo by his side. Even if his condition was just going to get worse, Kiibo being there made him happy. Even with how he felt at the time, his lover being there was all that mattered to him.

Kiibo opened one of his eyes “ hi love..”

Kokichi looked at Kiibo and gave him a small smile. "Hey, Kiiboy…"

“ how you feeling?”

Kokichi shrugged. "Could be better, but not horrible…"

“ hey.. I love you..”

"I love you, too, Kiiboy…"

Kiibo hugged him closer “you're my sunshine “

Kokichi smiled at the comment. "Awww, Kiiboy. You make me so happy."

“ I'm glad”

"Really, you make me so happy. Thank you for being here with me…"

“ you're welcome love..”

"Kiiboy…I know I don't have long left…but can I spend what little time I have left with you…? You'll make it all better…"

“ you don't even have to ask..” he said and smiled

Kokichi smiled weakly at Kiibo. He knew that his condition was deteriorating at a quicker rate than what was predicted, but he didn't mind. Kiibo was all that mattered to him, and his husband being there made him happy.

Kiibo laid little kisses to the side of kokichis head “ I love you..”

"I love you too, Kiiboy…" Kokichi told the other, a small, weak smile still on his face. "Always will…"

“ ko.. I'm so sorry that I couldn't save you..”

Kokichi shook his head. "No…no need…" he assured the other softly. "Dad…is…trying to…make a cure… He-he has been…"

“ I know..” he said softly

"It-it's sudden…b-but…" Kokichi paused for a moment, his strength slowly fading, "he…he might…actually…create it…in time…"

“ I hope so ko..” he said softly “ I hope so”

Kokichi nodded and stayed close to Kiibo. He knew that his life would end soon, but he still had hope that the professor could make a cure in time and save his life.

Kiibo kept looking to the door for his father to come in with the cure

After about thirty minutes, Professor Iidabashi rushed in with the cure in hand. He had no idea if it would work, but he knew that they needed to try it. That was the only way to find out if the cure would work and save Kokichi.

"I'm here!" he said as he came into the room. "Ko's still not looking that well, so I'm gonna have to test this one out, okay?" he told Kiibo softly. "I have no idea what will happen, but this is worth a shot!"

“ okay..” he said softly

Iidabashi gave Kiibo a reassuring smile before giving the cure to Kokichi. "Well, all that's left is to wait. If it was successful, we'll see improvements in half an hour."

“ here kosh..”

Kokichi accepted the cure from them, hoping that it would work. There was some time to wait, but he intended on snuggling with Kiibo as the time passed.
