Rantaro sighed softly. "Well…that's fair, but there's the chance that he just happens to be getting better, too… It's not determined when it'll happen, but let's just assume that he'll be okay for a while."

“ I am, it's just hard when all you've thought about is how your soon-to-be may drop dead in your wedding”

Rantaro nodded. "Fair… Kokichi has permission to marry you, and while I'm sure that your father has given you permission to marry him, it'd be a good idea to check," he stated. "Then I'll tell the rest of our classmates and families, and everyone can come together to quickly prepare a wedding for the two of you to minimize the chances of that happening."

Kiibo nodded and went to call his father privately

Iidabashi answered immediately once he saw that it was Kiibo calling. "Oh, hey, Kiibo. What's up?"

“ I- uh- I'm wanting to get married to kokichi.. I need your permission..”

"You'll always have my permission to marry Kokichi, as I just want you to be okay, but this is sudden…" Iidabashi sighed. "Is something wrong?"

“ he's dying” kiibo said softly

"Oh…" Iidabashi sighed softly. "That explains why you're asking to marry him already. Well, you may be in high school, but you have my permission to marry him. I'll even help you with your wedding. Just make his last days the best of his life, okay? That's all I want you to do."

“ I plan on it dad.. Thank you.. “

"Of course, Kiibo. I'm gonna start working on your wedding. When do you want it to be held?" Iidabashi asked him. "How's Kokichi doing? How long would I have to put this together?"

“ maybe a couple of months maybe “

"Good to know," Iidabashi replied. "How does it sound to have it in a month? That gives me time to set it up, get both of you guys your outfits, and enough time for it to work. Then we can host it on a day that Kokichi has energy and strength."

“ that. Sound amazing,” he said, trying not to let his voice crack

"Okay. I'll be sure to let you guys work out a general location, your cake, and your outfits. Today you guys should just enjoy yourselves, though. We can plan this out another day," Iidabashi told him. "I heard that this was Ko's first day feeling better, so just spend time with him."

“ I am dad, I promise..”

"I'll let you go now, Kiibo. Just spend time with Ko. All I want is for my family to be happy," Iidabashi said softly. "You may not know this, but I see Ko as family, too."

“ I know you do, “ he paused for a moment “ heey dad, thank you” he said ad hung up

"Of course, Kiibo," Iidabashi replied before Kiibo hung up.

Rantaro looked at Kiibo as he came back. "So, how'd that go?"

“ dad said yes!”

Rantaro smiled. "That's good! Let's get back to the others."

“ yeah!”

Rantaro went back with Kiibo so they could hang out with the others.

"Kiiboy!" Kokichi exclaimed when he saw Kiibo before running to him and hugging him. "I love you~!"

“ I love you too!” he said happily

Kokichi smiled at Kiibo. "Kiiboy! You wanna play with Jinx? He wants to play with you!"

“ ahm.. Sure..” he mumbled softly

Kokichi smiled and handed Jinx to Kiibo, smiling as the cat started purring in Kiibo's arms. "See? He missed you!"

Kiibo sighed happily and moved to cuddle with kokichi as well
