Kokichi nodded and laid down next to Kiibo. He was silent, tired of hurting himself just to say something.

Kiibo enjoyed the silence

Kokichi didn't mind the silence, just holding onto Kiibo. He was trying to calm himself down.

“ I love you,”

"L-love you, too…" Kokichi replied before wincing, as talking really did hurt him.

“ is it hurting?” he said softly

Kokichi nodded, not wanting to speak any longer.

“ I'm sorry,” he said softly and cuddled closer

Kokichi shook his head, letting Kiibo know that there was no reason for him to be sorry.

Kiibo sighed, “ just.. Please rest, I'm worried for you..”

Kokichi nodded, holding onto the other tightly. He just wanted to get some sleep and feel better. He didn't want to be in the hospital any longer. Just being there scared him. Kiibo helped him calm down, but he remained a bit scared.

(Yeah, I'll time skip to when he's released. We're keeping the care plot up for a bit longer since Kiibo would definitely care for Kokichi while he's recovering, just making sure that he actually gets his strength back)

After another day, Kokichi was released from the hospital. He was still sick, but he was doing better than when he was admitted. He had been prescribed some medicine to get him through the next few days, and the doctor told Kiibo that Kokichi would be fully recovered in the next few days.

As they were heading home, Kokichi was clinging onto Kiibo. He had more strength than he had in the past couple of days, but he remained close to the other in case he suddenly lost balance. He was also generally clingy when he was sick, so he just wanted Kiibo's attention and warmth.

Kiibo had picked kokichi up, carrying the other home as he walked. He was cooking son soup when they got home

Even after they returned home, Kokichi stayed with Kiibo. He knew that he shouldn't have been walking around, but he wanted the other's warmth at the time, and he couldn't find any blankets that gave the same amount of warmth as Kiibo did.

“ you should lay down love, I'll be in there in a moment..”

Kokichi shook his head as he wrapped his arms around Kiibo. He didn't want to say anything because it caused him pain, and he wanted to avoid worrying Kiibo more, so he hoped that his actions would imply that he wanted warmth, that he felt cold.

Kiibo got the message and sighed, picking up kokichi and nuzzling him

Kokichi smiled a bit as the other nuzzled him. It brought him warmth and comfort, which made him feel happier than he usually would. He felt loved when he was in the other's arms.

Kiibo smiled softly and went back to cooking

Kokichi watched as Kiibo returned to cooking. He was happy just knowing that the other would do so much to care for him and make sure that he'd recover.

Kiibo finished the soup and got a bowl for kokichi

Kokichi gave the other a soft smile, hoping that Kiibo would know that he was trying to thank him.

Kiibo smiled softly “ eat, please.”

Kokichi nodded as he sat down on the bed. He took the bowl of soup that Kiibo had prepared for him and started eating it. He thought it tasted pretty good, but he had no way of saying it. He just hoped that the small smile that he could manage to give the other was enough to let him know that he enjoyed his cooking.

Kiibo ate as well, laying down afterward

Once Kokichi finished, he laid next to Kiibo and wrapped his arms around the other. He wanted the other's warmth and embrace again, as both made him feel better, which made it easier for him to rest.

Kiibo turned his heater on and sight happily

Kokichi smiled a bit when Kiibo turned his heater on, but he hoped that the other would remember to charge himself. He didn't want anything bad happening to Kiibo because he let his battery die completely just to keep him warm.
