The doctor nodded. "Any other symptoms? The patient looks like he doesn't want to do any talking."

“ severe coughing fits and chest pains..”

"That would explain why he doesn't want to do the talking," they sighed softly. "I'm gonna figure out what's wrong with him. I've got to run a few tests, but once I figure things out, I'll prescribe him some medicine and make sure that he gets better."

“ thank you,” kiibo said, though some smoke was emitting from him. His circuits we're shorting out again

"Are you okay, sir…?" the doctor asked Kiibo. "Um…smoke seems to be emitting from your body… That is…rather unusual…"

“ I- I'm fine!” he said quickly

"I'll assume that this is a normal thing for you, then," the doctor replied. "If you're okay, I'm gonna run some tests on the patient now."

“ okay..” kiibo went out to see his father, shaking with stress

Iidabashi looked at Kiibo. "Oh, you're short circuiting, huh?" he asked softly. "Kiibo, please try to calm down… Kokichi will get better…"

“ im trying too! Butits hard!”

IIdabashi wrapped Kiibo in a hug. "It will be okay… They'll be back with Kokichi before you know it, okay…?"

“ Okay..” he whispered

A couple of hours passed, and then the doctor returned, but Kokichi wasn't with them.

"We have determined what's wrong with the patient, but…" they sighed, "due to the severity of his coughing fits, he's not getting enough oxygen. We're gonna have to keep him here for a bit so he can get enough oxygen, but then we'll release him. We've started him on some medicine, and once he has enough oxygen, we'll release him. He should be out of here by tonight."

“Okay..” kiibo whispered

"If you'd both like to visit him, you can come to his room," they told them. "He's awake, though he slipped in and out of consciousness for a bit. As I left, he asked for someone called 'Kiibo', so I can only assume that's the boy that went back with him. I advised him not to talk much, but he's gonna recover."

Kiibo nodded and entered the room

Iidabashi followed Kiibo back, wanting to make sure that everyone was okay. When they entered, Kokichi didn't seem to notice at first. He seemed to have fallen asleep.

Kiibo sighed softly and relaxed a little his lover sleeping

Iidabashi smiled at them. "Well, since he seems to be okay, if you're calm, I'm gonna go now, okay, Kiibo? I'll see you later."

“Bye..” kiibo whispered and sat next to kokichi

Iidabashi nodded and left the room. As he did so, Kokichi sensed Kiibo's presence, but he didn't do much. He was asleep and silent, though he reached his hand out to the other, knowing that he was there.

Kiibo took it gently, laying his head down beside kokichi

Kokichi smiled ever so slightly in his sleep as Kiibo took his hand. He remained asleep for another minute, but then he woke up.

"Kii-Kiiboy…?" he called out weakly.

“ I'm here love!”

Kokichi quickly sat up once he heard the other's voice since he momentarily forgot about how weak he felt due to the relief of knowing that his lover was there with him.

“ Easy love,” kiibo said worriedly

Kokichi didn't listen at first, though he had no intentions of being stubborn or arguing with Kiibo. The happiness he felt by having the other there simply distracted him from how he felt for a moment.

Kiibo sighed and laid down to try and get kokichi to follow

Kokichi laid back down once the other laid down with him. There was a small smile on his face as he just seemed to enjoy the other's presence. He hadn't said anything other than when he called out to Kiibo, seeming to not want to talk at the time due to how he felt.

Kiibo held kokichi in a tight cuddle, nestling into the crook of the other neck as he turned on his heater
