"I feel like a baby- I'm completely unfamiliar with everything, and I'm fascinated by things that you see every day. " she laughed a little " I feel silly. "
"I feel like a baby- I'm completely unfamiliar with everything, and I'm fascinated by things that you see every day. " she laughed a little " I feel silly. "
“It's not silly.” he assured. “I don't see fireworks every day. It's just a special occasion thing. But, you know what?” he smiled. “It still amazes me every time I get to see them.”
She smiled and shrugged "eh I suppose so.. But I can see why it amazes you, they're beautiful"
“Yeah, they are.” he smiled, glancing at her expression as she watched the fireworks.
She saw him look at her through the corner of her eye which made her blush and look away
Marc chuckled, noticing her blush, and faced the fireworks again. Though he was also blushing a little because he had been caught looking.
Maria laughed and pushed a strand of hair behind her ear and looked back up at the fire works "thank you again… For this, it's the most fun I've had. '
“I’m glad to hear that. Today's been a lot of fun for me too.” Marc admitted.
"That's good I'm glad, " she said softly before turning back to him "hey.. That cave that you took me too how far exactly is that from here? "
Marc hummed at the question before shrugging. “It's a bit of a drive… But I would say that it's not too far if you want to go back there.” he smiled, raising a brow.
Maria smiled a little and looked at the little sliver of light from the sun "well I wouldn't mind going back seeing as though it's getting dark.. "
“Alright.” Marc smiled as he got to his feet. “Let's go then.”
Maria stood up as well and smiled at him "are you sure you don't want to finish the show first? "
Marc chuckled and gave a small shrug. “I would hate to have you miss the finale. It's the best part.” he agreed. “But I bet, if we hurry, we can see it from where we parked.”
Maria nodded "well if we want to watch it from the parking lot then I'm ready to go" she said with such excitement you'd think it was the most exciting experience of her life
“Alright.” he nodded eagerly. Apparently, her excitement was contagious. “You got your prize with you?” he asked, not wanting to forget anything.
Maria nearly jumped at the thought of her prize and turned to look at the bench which held her bear and she bent to pick it up "I have it now-"
“Good. I don't want you to leave it behind.” he smiled softly, holding his hand out for her to take so he could guide her back to his motorcycle.
She laughed and took his hand clinging to her prize as they walked "well thank you. "
“Anytime.” Marc smiled back as she took his hand. “Come on. The finale is probably going to start soon.” he pointed out, picking up his pace a little as he noticed the regular fireworks slowing down.
"Alright." She spoke as she walked a little faster herself so sh e was keeping up with Marcus "I'm coming I'm coming calm yourself." She added with a slight giggle
Marcus just smiled at her as they wove through the crowd that was still watching the fireworks. Fortunately, this made it easy to get around them without bumping into anyone and they made it to the front entrance just in time.
She wove through the crowd with Marc a smile on her face "is it almost time? The fireworks stopped. "
“Yeah. This is going to be it.” Marc grinned as he found an empty place with a clear view in the right direction. “Get ready. It's gonna be loud.” he warned as they turned to look at the sky.
Maria ran over to where Marcus was and looked up at the sky hugging her stomach as she watched with anticipation
Almost without warning, the dark sky lit up with a barrage of the largest, brightest, and loudest fireworks of the night.
Marcus couldn't help but cheer at the display even if his voice was drowned out by the colorful explosions.
Maria felt as if she would be blinded by the fire works she looked up in amazement a smile on her face "oh wow… Marcus"
“It's amazing, isn't it?” he smiled, clearly enjoying the light show.
"Brilliant-" she spoke as if she were out of breath
“Yeah.” he smiled, looking at her awestruck expression.
