She looked up at Marcus with a bright smile as she held the bear closer to her

Marcus smiled back. “Where do you want to go next?” he asked, nodding slightly towards the rest of the carnival.

She look around quickly "well I'm not really sure… Is there anything you'd like to do?

Marcus chuckled and gave a brief shrug. “Honestly, there's not much here that I don't enjoy.” he admitted. “I’m a pretty simple, easy-going kinda guy.”

"Well my pretty simple easy-going kind of guy where are we headed? your picking this one to make it fair. "

Marcus laughed, blushing, and shrugged. “Alright… How about the bumper cars?”

"What in the bloody hell is that? " she asked arching her brow a little concerned

Marcus smirked as he held back from laughing again. “They're just little cars with a strong rubber bumper all the way around the outside that you drive around a enclosed area. And that rubber bumper allows you to run into other bumper cars safely as well as get bumped into by others. You won't get hurt but you may get a little jolt when you get hit.” he explained assuringly.

She simply shook her head with a soft smile "I don't think I'll ever understand americans, come on show me where they are then. " she grabbed his hand and waited for him to lead

“We don't always understand each other either.” Marc chuckled. “It's over this way. At least the bumper car has the steering wheel in the middle, so you don't have to worry about being “on the wrong side”.” he teased.

Marcus laughed with her, holding his hands up in playful surrender. “Hey, if I ever visited England, I’d have the same problem.”

"Yeah well I guess it's a good thing I don't a car I've got my bike remember? "

“Right.” he nodded. “But you do know how to drive a car, right?”

"Yes I know how to drive a car Marcus. " she said with a chuckle

“Good. Cause driving a bumper car is pretty similar.” he smiled back.

"Oh okay. " she nodded her head slightly

“Just didn't want you to feel overwhelmed by it.” he assured her. “And again if you don't want to do this, we don't have to.”

"It's okay I think I can handle this. " she assured with a smile "the line is kinda long though. "

“Yeah… It's a very popular attraction.” he nodded as he looked at the line. “They actually have two of these. One for adults and one for kids.”

"Your kidding, they just let let children slam into each other with fake cars?"

“Uhh, well when you say it like that, it sounds bad.” he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. “But there's lots of safety stuff involved.”

She couldn't help but laugh at his response throwing her head back a little "maybe because it is bad but.. If it's safe I guess it's not that bad. "

Marcus smiled at her laugh and just shrugged. “Maybe. But, yeah, there's a lot of safety stuff. Especially for the kids.” he nodded, well aware that he was repeating himself.

She laughed a little looking at him through the corner of her eye with her bear tucked in between her arm and her stomach and she squeezed his hand a little "you've said that. "

“Yeah, I thought so.” he smiled back, gently squeezing her hand in reply. “I just couldn't think of another explanation.” he admitted with a shrug.

"Well alright then fair enough. " she had the same smile on her face as they made it to the line for the bumper cars

He chuckled a little and turned back to the line. He wasn't sure what else he could say but he was happy to see Maria looking so happy.
