“Then you're a lucky one. Even when I naturally wake up early, I still need coffee.” he admitted with a chuckle.

"That's just another reason why I'm considered weird. " she said laughing

“Nah. I’m just a coffee addict.” he laughed softly with her.

"Ah well sorry to hear that. " she said jokingly

“It's fine. I’m used to it.” he smiled, not minding the joke at his expense.

" I myself love coffee I just don't drink it a lot. "

“That's fair. Not everyone likes coffee.” he acknowledged.

"Im lactose intolerant so I can't really drink coffee because I have to put milk or creamer in it. "

“Oh! Good to know but they do make none lactose milks and a lot of alternatives.”

"Your kidding me right? "

“No, I'm not. There's plenty of different options.” he shrugged. “One of the more popular ones is soy. And a lot of people even prefer it.”

"God I'm mental. "

“It's ok.” he smiled gently, placing his hand on her shoulder. “You've just been sheltered because of your lifestyle. It makes sense that you wouldn't know about certain things.” he assured.

"Yeah but it's just amazing the amount of things I've missed out on.. " she couldn't help but laugh at herself a slight blush on her face at his touch

“Hey, no one knows everything.” he chuckled with a shrug.

"Yeah but it all seems so normal for everyone to know about these things. "

“Maybe. But now, you have a whole summer to catch up.” he smiled, half teasing her but sincere in what she could learn.

"Yeah that's true that should give me more than enough time to try new things! "

“I'm sure it will. Plus, if you’d like, I can help introduce you to more new things.” he offered.

"That would be amazing! you'd actually do that?"

“Sure. Why not? It'd be fun.” he grinned.

"Your awesome thank you!"

Marcus chuckled again, feeling his face warm at being called awesome. “It's no problem.” he assured her.

She hadn't noticed her walking had turned into a skip and she smiled at him "I still can't believe I met someone so nice my first day here. "

Marcus did notice but chose not to say anything since he thought she was just so excited. And honestly, he also thought it was cute. “You're too kind.” he smiled back, despite sharing the sentiment of meeting someone amazing.

She continued to ok skip along the beach next to Marcus she smile never faltering "why thank you kind sir I do see myself as quite the kind person. " she said making her accent a little richer

Marcus immediately laughed at her posh exaggeration of her accent. He smirked and cleared his throat before speaking in an equally exaggerated British accent. “And so you are, sweet Maria.”

She cringed a little bit at his try at her accent "oh my you sound like my brother. " she said and burst out laughing

“Oh, that bad?” he asked, laughing a little with her. “I always thought I could do a good British accent.” he shrugged.
