Amethyst's eyes lit up and she grinned. Testing weapons? Now that was something she could do.
"Sure. What are you looking for in them?" she asked, making her way over and picking one up.

"Accuracy, power, how well they work," Kasey listed off a few. She got up and turned on the sensors, "These should collect everything else."
"Have I…" He mumbles, wincing as he bends down and starts picking up everything from thr ground nearest him
Akyra sighed, rubbing her face. "Stop, go sit on a bunk and I'll patch you up."
Ian glares, not moving but shifts a cart up right and starts taking stuff from the ground up onto it
"Accuracy, power, how well they work," Kasey listed off a few. She got up and turned on the sensors, "These should collect everything else."
"Great. I'll be back in a bit, then," Amethyst said, making her way towards the door. She stopped suddenly, then turned around. "Uh… Just what, exactly, do these do?"
Ian glares, not moving but shifts a cart upright and starts taking stuff from the ground up onto it
"Fine, we're gonna do this the hard way," Akyra sighed. She walked over and picked Ian up bridal style. "You need to clean those cuts, they have dirt and who-knows-what kind of bacteria in them."
"A lot of them are guns of various types. We've been messing around trying to see if we can get them to go from gun to dagger so there's a couple of those. I know Jasper has a fart gun somewhere so beware of that. And I know there's a flame sword also in there. Oh and the bow is a prototype to see if we can make energy arrows so archers don't need quivers," Kasey explained.

(Whoa what? Shes that strong?)
Ian barks something at her, writhing wildly
(She works out when she's really stressed… which is often. Picking up another person isn't too difficult for her)
"Nuh uh, bud," Akyra said, setting him down on a bunk. "You can continue your wallowing after you're patched up, 'kay?"
She pulled some bandages and antiseptic wipes out of her utility belt and began on his right arm.
"A lot of them are guns of various types. We've been messing around trying to see if we can get them to go from gun to dagger so there's a couple of those. "Awesome…" Amethyst breathed. "Okay, so I'll be back when I've tested them all, then."
She made her way out to the practice fields and picked a weapon. Of course, she chose the bow first, and, after setting up some targets, she started to test it out.
Dang, this thing is light, she thought as she shot arrow after arrow.
Twang. Thump. Twang. Thump.
Ian snarls, trying to sit up, "We dont have time for this. Another team will come back any moment and they will need medical attention. But we cant give it if all of that stuff is scattered on the ground!"
(They actually picked almost everything up earlier…)
Akyra snapped.
"Well, guess what? You won't be any good to them banged up either," she snarled back. "I'm sick and tired of your flippin' attitude! I'm trying to help you, for star's sake! You think you're stressed?! Well I am, too! So shut the hell up and let me finish then I'll leave you the hell alone."
(Almost everything)
Ian stares at her disbelieving then snarls, "I will be because I dont stop unless I drop dead! You'll have to deal with my attitude. And you think your fricken stressed?!" He swings his legs over the edge of the bunk
After she was satisfied that she had tested the bow enough, Amethyst moved on to a different weapon. This one must have been the flaming sword because… Well, it just looked like it would be.
She swung out with it, and the flames ignited.
"Nice," she whispered.
"Good to know the bow works," Kasey said as she looked through the data sets. She kept working on the AI, it wasn't cooperating.
"Gah, why do I even care about you? About anybody at this stars-forsaken camp?" Akyra said exasperatedly, suddenly slumping. She picked up her supplies and rubbed her face for what seemed the millionth time that day. "I shouldn't. No one cares about what I do." She pulled her jacket sleeves over her hands. "Just go rot, for all I care."
Ian pauses at the first part, "huh?"
Ignoring him, Akyra began to head out of the medic tent.
Why DO I care?
As she tested it more, the flames on the sword got brighter and hotter.
"Okaaaay… I don't think this is good," she mused. Suddenly, the fire shot down toward her hand, and she yelped and jumped back, dropping it. "Okay, that's definitely not good."
(Is anyone else thinking of Hiccup's sword in HTTYD2?)
Ian snorts, standing, "Fine…" He walks over to the cart he had been working on. He picks up a needle and surgical thread from it and some antiseptic. He sits back doe on the bunk and starts to sew his wounds on his own
(Is anyone else thinking of Hiccup's sword in HTTYD2?)
(YYYAAASSS!!)
(Is anyone else thinking of Hiccup's sword in HTTYD2?)
(…Yes…)
Stupid Ian. Stupid Amethyst. Stupid rebellion. Stupid king. Akyra thought.
She made her way over to a tree not far from the medic tent and slumped down underneath it. She pulled her knees up and, wrapping her arms around her legs, rested her chin on her knees.
Ian yelps with pain, he bangs the side of the bunk with a fist, trying to steady his breathing from the pain
Valerie slowly walked around the medic tent, quietly picking up dropped containers. SHe put them all onto a small table and started trying to figure out where they went.
Ian looks up from his last stitch on the left arm at Valerie, "Thanks."
SHe nodded in reply, moving a bottle to some others labeled similarly.
"No that one goes on the shelf" Ian points with his slightly bloody, non-stitched hand winces and it literally drops, limp
